Good morning everyone.

It's 49 now, mostly sunny with a high of 76 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast pizza for breakfast topped with scrambled eggs, cheddar, bacon and sausage crumbles.

Philip, finished?

ACLTom, very happy the pain is subsiding.

TomO, very happy Terry is home and hope she is resting comfortably.

Jerry, how'd you like the laundromat?

Ron, what did last night bring?

How's everyone else?

Star and I did just under 5 miles yesterday at the park.
Both lawns were mowed and hope that's it for this year.
Didn't make it to the library so 'll return the book today.
Nothing else planed yet for today.

Dave, more rose quartz at Palisades SP.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy your non planned day. Gorgeous photo; you do have a knack for finding beautiful places to photograph.

Tom O. nice to hear Terry's home and doing well.

Tom great the pain is subsiding; just don't overdue it....take your time.

What's your plans for the day?

It's another sunny but chilly 32 with a high of 63. We've had a frost every morning for the past week which is clearing the trees quickly. Taking Ellie to Hobby Lobby this afternoon so that should be interesting but I do get to pick up a few modeling supplies so it's all good. Made it to the bench yesterday but not sure about today. I have to paint a sign for outside so that should be fun.

Have an enjoyable and safe day. Be well, get healed up, and don't overdue.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Hope you have a quiet day.

Same weather here today as the previous 5 days. The living room looks like the skunks went on a rampage last night. :-* No modeling yesterday. After floors I had no desire to do anything.

Today after chores I'll head to the workbench. Later the family will do our civic duty at the local library branch.

Larry I don't get to HL very often. It's about a 30 minute drive but in a very heavy traffic area.

Nothing much else to report here

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, Rick, Larry, Curt and those on the way. The NH seacoast is 40-ish and "cloudy bright" now, with sun and 60s forecast after lunch.

Yesterday at Seashore went pretty well for just two of us working on the ground, me 70 and the other older, The track we're fixing will be serviceable once the 10 new ties are spiked, but that's a 4-person job: two lifting both ends of the tie up against the bottom of the rail (nipping up), one on the spike hammer (compressed air for this job) and one tending the power unit and hoses.  It'll have to wait till more volunteers appear.

Aspirin helped last night, I'll take another dose after breakfast.  Then chores around the house and town, including late Pawpaws and apples.  Maybe the layout this evening, I'm fairly well caught up on other things.

Rick, interesting rocks!  And another good photo...

Fog should burn off by noon, another great Indian Summer day.  They're predicting another 6 or 7 days of this.  I'm sure we'll pay for it later on.

add  Some geology on those cliffs:  "For millions of years, Split Rock Creek cut deep gorges through Palisades State Park. Geologists estimate the Sioux quartzite spires are 1.2 billion years old. Four hiking trails twist and turn through these beautiful Sioux quartzite formations. The cliffs and formations at Palisades are used by rock climbers to practice their scaling and rappelling techniques. Bolting is not allowed on the quartzite formations. "  https://gfp.sd.gov/parks/detail/palisades-state-park/  (Quartzite is metamorphosed sandstone.  So think about beaches that got compressed to turn into sandstone, and then recompressed to turn into quartzite.)

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, the OJ is nice and fresh.

I think Cuse has a birthday today or in the past few days. I don't remember what the actual date is. So ---

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUSE!

I see the Rad. Doc. this morning at 10:45. I'll be asking him how long this burning will last.

I did feel well enough to finish the yard work yesterday. It took me four sessions, I paced myself, to get all the over grown grass and weeds out of the shrubs and flower/rose garden. I feel like it was a huge accomplishment for me as well.

Not much else going on here.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, hope you make it to the library today.

TomO, very glad to hear that Terry is now home and hopefully doing well.

Larry, hope you find what you are looking for at Hobby Lobby.

Curt, hope the skunks didn't do too much damage.

James, glad that the aspirins is working, have fun with the layout if you make it there.

Philip, glad to hear that the chimney work is done.

Dave, thanks for the geology lesson, very interesting.

Tom, Hope the Rad doctor gives you some decent answers.

Current weather here is 6c (43f) and cloudy, but there is no rain in the forecast.  Another night with no modeling (which tends to be normal during a working day (i.e. Monday to Thursday) but did attend a Zoom meeting for the local NMRA chapter.  Now that I'm on the executive, I'm expected to attend them. 8)   We shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.  Congrats on getting the lawns mowed.

Larry, wishing you and Ellie a fun time at Hobby Lobby.

Curt, glad the skunks had fun.

James, that gandy dancer work sounds tiring.

Philip, good morning to you, too!

Dave, enjoy the nice weather.

TomACL, good luck at the doc's.  Glad you are feeling like doing yard work.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another nice day here.  The forecast is for 77F this afternoon.  Yesterday was a trying day.  Just as I was getting ready to walk upstairs, Sharon asked me to plant the three hydrangeas she purchased.  At first she said on the side of the house, so I started digging; then she said, no wait.  I want them in the front.  @$!#$!!  I was totally exhausted afterward.  I need to take it easy still.  This morning I had a six-month follow-up with doc.  All is okay, mostly.  I voted and ran a few errands. Maybe I can make it upstairs if she plays bridge...

Have fun,
mike

p.s., The GQ photo was taken in the early 2000s.  I was working in DC, NYC, and upstate New York.  I had a suit on under the coat. I wanted a photo showing off my new hat.  Indeed, I looked like a Yankee, Dave.

Jerry
