My first model train exhibition for 2027 will be at the start of April.
So I'm going to build a new mini On30 layout for that.  Set in the Pacific North West area.

So first structure will be a mine entrance.

Simple three sided structure made using stir sticks.

Thanks Rick, Karl and Philip.
Using the stir sticks is an effective way of doing rustic looking wood.
Doesn't cut perfectly straight, but that's the look I'm after.  And they cost next the nix.

So have now coloured the timber just using washes of craft paint.
