Rob, thank you so much for posting these.
It's a beautiful piece of art.
Not only is the modeling 5 star, the design, layout and placement of everything is exceptional.
There are many scenes in a small area and yet doesn't look crowded.
It all looks natural.

I guess you were able to save these from Mario's site before it went down.

Rob thanks for posting. That little layout is stunning and well thought out. That I would categorize it as "Museum quality" work.

Thanks Rick, Curt, Dave and Larry.
Yes Geoff always did stunning scenery, and yes all his layouts and other ones he co-built were true works of art.  Had plenty of magazine articles and made the cover several times of Narrow Gauge Downunder and also the 2000 MR Great Model Railroads mag.
Luckily I was able to save many of Mario's photos over the years, but also had some he had sent me as he was part of my local NMRA group.  Getting them now via the Wayback Machine is becoming difficult.

This little layout has inspired me to build a new small exhibition layout in time for next years model train show season in Melbourne. Always wanted to do a layout with big pine trees.  I'll be exhibiting at 3 to 4 shows next year.
My Jungle Cruise layout is still progressing, but is a longer term project.
