Good Morning All

I've been out of touch for a while and was all over Italy for 3 weeks...but now I'm back and have broken ground on my side project...an N scale Switzerland layout. My HO layout is running fine and in a pretty advanced state with a whole other scene to build as well as plenty of opportunities to pave roads and there are always details...but Little Switzerland is front and center.

Hope everyone is doing well...I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of (train) things.

So glad to hear the Judge is back on his feet. I'd love to be there tomorrow, but we're celebrating my daughter's 33d birthday with an extended family brunch, so it's unlikely...I hope to catch up with my SBG friends soon.

Morning John and others,

John, a Swiss "N" scale layout. Sounds like lots of mountains and snow.

Sorry you won't make it tomorrow but we'll be having more in the future.

Have a great day ya'll.

Chilling in the grey overcast with chances of rain here in the mitten state.

Really sorry I won't make it to the Purple Gang get together tomorrow.

Clean up in my work room continues, one forward and two back it seems.

Have a fine day at what ever comes your way everyone.

Morning all,

Presently 38 here with a high of only 46.

I think I'm coming down with what the wife had earlier in the week.  Sore throat and feel blah.  I did get the DCC stuff ordered and will take apart and clean the other Geep today.

Good afternoon, all. It's been mid-60s, overcast and raining off & on in the lower Merrimack Valley, with a couple of thunderstorms passing by. At one point a flock of thousands of blackbirds settled on my lawn, but they soon moved on.  So no outdoor chores to compete with model projects, but the news stepped in to consume my morning.

John, sounds like October is a better time for Italy this decade. We didn't make it to Rome a couple of years ago because August was just too hot. Turin was better then, as was the Italian Lakes area.

Full-size RR events this weekend: work at Seashore Saturday, then my first-ever ride of the former Maine Central line to Rockland, ME Sunday.

I have a couple dozen rebuilt Proto units and it is a given to me that they will need GnG service. Gears and goop removable. One group of 7-FA1 I redid 27 of 28 axle gears were cracked They run great when done. Reset wheel gage too while you're at it. I use the A-line gears, reuse the stock wheel sets.
