I built this Bar MIlls kit a couple of years ago, and decided there were to many protruding parts that could come off due to it being moved around. So, I placed the kit on some insulation and built scenery around it. It was never intended to be trackside, so this little diorama was created more to protect the structure than anything else. I used the boiler casting from Bar MIlls Babcock Boiler, and added some FSM castings, along with a few drums from Fos Scale Models. I love this kit. Another purchase inspired by Vilius's Scale Modeling Endeavors blog.

I took these pictures outside before the rains came today.

Nice work and looks a lot like Vilius' rendition-which is a great compliment, IMO...I have that kit and expect to make a spot for it in my current expansion. It's one of my favorite designs.
