Hi All:
Started this one today.
Karl
That's going to be a great build.
Karl, I'm eager to follow this one since the Tribute #1 kit was so much fun. If I had more waterfront space... ;)

Wow guys thanks so much for checking in. I don't have the boat kit so probably not. I have a few bottle of the driftwood stain. As Said I worked in a Hobby Shop and used to stock up on stuff I needed to build with. Anyway hopefully some pics soon.
As I said thanks to all for checking in.
Karl
Hi Karl,
This looks like a rel interesting kit to build. I will be checking it out from time to time.

Hi Steve & Bob:

Looks good Karl , what did you do for the boards for color?
HeyJan:
Thanks but still have lots to do.
Karl
Hi Lynn:
Boards are Fllquil Driftwood stain with A&I wash. Windows & doors are Floquil CN gray.
Karl
Looking good so far Karl. I saw this kit at the Expo and thought it was very interesting.
-Steve
Karl your moving faster than I can type.
For a start it has the right color.
Jerry
Hey Steve & Jerry:

Karl
Another great build - looking good.
Hey John:
Thanks. Been working on the rooves today.
Karl
Karl,
Not sure how I missed the start of this one but just now getting caught up. Great job on the walls. I haven't done a build in Floquil Driftwood in some time but your walls remind me to do it next time.
Tom ;D
nice work! I also love the wall coloring......
My Floquil dried out a long time ago, but I got a similar wall coloring using Dr. Ben's Driftwood---
Hey Tom & Bob C:
Thanks appreciate the compliments. Much apprecaited as always.
Karl
Hey Guys:
The building is finished except for the mystical floating rear wall entry. Here's the photos.
Karl
Excellent modeling Karl.
The Energizer Bunny is at it again with another terrific model.
Very nice, Karl. Coming together quickly. Very interested in seeing how you treat the water part of the dio.
Hey Curt, Tom & Steve:
Hey guys thank for checking in. Glad you loke how it turned out. I started working on the dock.
Karl
Hey Vince G:
Thanks for checking in on this. I will not be doing the water ans the friend I'm building for wants to to that as the layout is built.
Karl
Ah - makes sense. More difficult to blend in a diorama that has hard edges for water. Much better to site it into the bigger scene.
Beautiful work, Karl. The intricate roof lines and angles make for a stunning structure.
George
That is BEAUTIFUL...great job!
John
Beautiful!! Another winner for sure!!
Jerry
Wow , Karl beautiful work , what a great looking building with all the nooks and crannies .
Is the window hanging there intentional ?
Hi Vince G, Opa George, Cuse, Jerry And Janbouli:
Hey guys thanks for all the great replies. Much appreciated.
Karl
Hi All:
got some work don on the dock. Here's a photo.
Karl
Hey janbouli:
Yes the window is hanging that way per the instructions.
Karl
Great work as always Karl!!!
Seth P.
Minnesota
Hey Seth:
Thanks appreciate the compliment. The upper dock deck is finished and one of the lower docks is finished.
Karl
Amazing Karl , the way you don't let quality down when building at the speed of light. Great work .
That really is a fine build Karl.
Jerry
Great looking dock.
You are my hero! Mighty fine work.
Another amazing and awesome job Karl! What a beautiful model.
Karl,
Looking real good, as always...
Loren...
Hi janbouli, Jerry, Curt, Bob D, Bruce And loren:
Hey guys thanks for all the great compliments. much appreciated. Got some more work done today. Added another dock, railings on the ramp and added banisters to the handrails.
Karl
Hi All:
The structure along with it docks if finished except for ther dock crane. This is a project in itself so will probably take a day or so. Plus have to do all the detail castings.
Karl;
Beautiful!!
Jerry
Hi Jerry:
Thanks much appreciated.
Karl
Karl, gorgeous structure and docks. It has a huge amount of character.
--George
Great structure with tons of eye appeal.
Great work, Karl!
It was always one of my favourite structures on the F&SM. Bar Mills has done a good job of choosing some of George's absolutely classic structures to turn into kits.
Cheers, Mark.
Hey Opa George, Curt and mark:
Hey guys thanks for the great compliments. much appreciated. Mark it's one of my favorites also.

Damn, that's fantastic.
Well done Karl.....the amount of detail opportunities in the kit is amazing. I'd love to see what gets done with it when it gets to its new home. 8)
Hi Janbouli, Bob D. and Greg:
Thanks for the great compliments.Much appreciated.
Karl
Hi Guys:
Finished the crane today. I took about two day as it is comprised of about 30 parts. Had to wait for thing to dry before proceeding. It came out well and I like how it looks.
Karl
It looks awesome Karl.
Just great , are the bollards part of the kit or did you get them separate?
Awesome job Karl. I always get excited when you start a build
Dick
Hi Curt:
thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated.
Karl
Hi Janbouli:
thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated. Yes the bollards come with the kit.
Karl
Hi dick:
thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated.
Karl
Karl, that is beautiful work. I may have said that earlier, but it gets better with each posting. I may have to do a little urban renewal and tear up some 1/87 real estate to make room for more waterfront.
--George
Hey Karl, another awesome project.
Hey Opa George & Steve Drees:
Thanks for the great compliments. Much appreciate.
Karl.
Hey Guys:
Here are the final photos. It is finished.
Karl
Fantastic modeling Karl.
Hi curt:
Thanks appreciate your compliment. Thanks much.
Karl
Very nice, Karl!
Its a real eye catcher. Being based on one of Georges models - how did it compare to a FSM's kit to build?
Cheers, Mark.
I've got a very prominent spot for mine. I may need to recalibrate- that looks like a pretty big footprint.
Fantastic job on the build!
John
Stoooooooopendous. 👍🏻
Beautiful colors and finishes as usual, Karl.
Jeff
Karl
Another great build my friend! I have always liked that structure.
True to your building skills. Beautiful work Karl.
Jerry
Hey Mark:
Thanks appreciate it. I'd say it was right up there with an FSM kit. You can see how great all the detail is.
Karl
Hi John:
It's about 18 by 7 inches. Will you be building yours here soon. Would love to see someone else build it.
Karl
Hey Dave K
Hey thanks glad you liked how it came out.
Karl
Hey Jeff:
Hey thanks much appreciate the compliment.
Karl
hey John S:
Hey thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated.
Karl

Holy Moly Karl, that build is awesome. Just a FTOB (F----ing Thing of Beauty).

Karl
"Soon" in John's layout terms might be within the next two years ;D Or, just as likely, Reading Bob will run out of kits and bail me out again. I've got a few ahead of it in my queue. My spot for it has a couple other unfinished kits behind it and some serious scenic forms nearby that need to be done first to minimize my likelihood of smashing it. In particular, Fos' Pendleton Marine and Cookson Soap, which are both essentially flats (and, I believe, much less challenging builds) should probably come first. I need to re-measure that spot as well. thanks for the footprint dimensions.
John
Hey john:
You are quite welcome. As I said would like to see you or someone else build this guy. It's a great kit and was A lot of fun.
Karl
:o WOW..... just WOW!!!
W-O-W! That's a masterpiece Karl! Stunning. Absolutely stunning. :D
Uh=oh. I think I heard my name mentioned somewhere in here.
Karl,
What a beautiful build....not to take away from your build, I am doing an Emporium scratch build....
Loren...
That is one amazingly busy scene.....well done Karl. 8)
Hey Darryl:
Thanks buddy your compliment is very much appreciated.
Karl
Hey Bob B.:
I'll take that as a great compliment coming from you. I always enjoy your builds.
Thanks Karl
Hey Loren:
Thanks so much and I'm following your Emporium build. You are doing a great job with it.
Karl
hey Greg:
thanks so much. Very much appreciated.
