Does anyone know: Did the Wileys stop their podcast? Haven't heard from those two guys in a while,,,,,

I've got 5 years until my retirement,,,, I've got a shelf full of kits that will keep me busy!!! I agree about "thinning" out the stuff. It's never too early to do that!

My count down is 2000 days! Definitely going to be a LOT more bench time after that!

I think I saw a product at Lowes or Home Depot a while back that is supposed to remove super glue,,,, don't know how it will treat the plastic though. I've had old plastic kits that were glued and the joints broke apart easily because of age,,,, have you tried to gently break it apart yet?

It seems to me that the kit should just come with cardboard roof cards and shingles, strip wood and dock templates,,,, save money on the manufacture by eliminating the plastic,,,,

Looking really good! I only use Hunterline Stains now for my walls and weight them down with cheap, heavy 12x12 floor tile that I got at Home Depot.

thanks guys,,,
Steve, go to page 1, I describe what I did for the walls to get the color.
I started building the last structure, which is the coal shed.  This one is a bit time consuming- and a bit fragile.

thanks for following along guys!
moving along on the storage shed,,, got the roof details done on the mill.  I glued down the mill on the base, and put some ground foam where the loading docks go...

Thanks guys!!
well, what started as a request for the sign--- (Jerry came to my rescue so quickly!).....  I guess I can turn this thread into a build thread (already in progress).
As for the wall coloring, this is what I did:  after distressing the clapboard siding, the walls were hit with Hunterline Black Stain.. After this dried, I used Dr. Ben's Aged Driftwood stain.  After that dried I hit the walls again with the Hunterline Black.  The nail holes and where the siding is damaged I used the Pan Pastel.  The skirting on the bottom of the mill I used AK Interactive Grimy Slime Dark over the driftwood stain instead of the Hunterline. after that dried, then some dry-brushing with craft paint white.
The side wall of the elevator structure was just begging for a sign (the prototype didn't have one here)....
The shingles are Campbell's ,, on the roll.  I love these shingles (I know many out there hate them).
The storage shed construction is the usual board on board over the template.  I stained everything to match the main mill.
