I too honor my grandfather on my Dad's side in my modeling. Charles Henry Stevens was Chief Engineer of the Philadelphia Transit System for many years. The now demolished Market Street Elevated was built during his time in office. The still existent Fern Rock storage yards are blocks from where he lived (coincidence?).
In his honor, I have built an extensive subway layout beneath out condo basement. The only drawback to posting pictures is I don't have the stairway entrances and turnstiles modeled yet, so underground tours are a bit of a problem.
