BTW, I'm really looking forward to the Microlumina workshop next week.  For me, I need it really "dumbed down" for me to understand.

Hi Guys:

I built my first craftsman kit back in the 70's. A friend got me started. I said I can't do that. He said sure you can. So I tried and became addicted to it. I can't even remeber the manufacturer. I'm sure he is long out of business. I think it was in an orange box. I built several campbell kits and found their instructions to be about the best at that time And I'm Sure they haven't changed.

Over my career of building kits I have built kits by many manufactureres. I've built tons of FOS Scale kits and find them very well done and the instructions are just fine.

At this point I'm building my first FSM kits. I get to test fit each new kit. Been doing that for a few years. I'm building some older kits for a friends layout. I think I'm on my 4th one which is roadside delights. Next will be Sewel's Foundry.  I find George's instructions about the most detailed in the business and easy to follow. A lot of reading but nothing is left out that needs to be done. There's pretty much no doubt in your mind what needs to be done and how to do it. Of course I sometimes tend to use my own techniques I've developed over the years from what others (Especillay George Sellios) have taught me over the years.

Anyway these are just my thoughts on the subject. Hope I made some sense of it all.

Karl,

I think you have lost the count of FSM kits you built. From what I remember you did The Yehudah Heating Co, Brownsville Depot, Jamestown Water Stop, Hazen Boyd Co., Westside Auto, Rollin Sawyer Chemical Co. So the Roadside Delights would be your 7th.
