A small gas station for a Clay Center scene.

The box and it's contents.

Started with the billboard. Everything is painted using spray cans from the cheap store.

Lots of peel and stick so the billboard is done in a jiffy.

The clapboard walls are a little fragile as we will see in the next photo's.

Fixed using transfer tape.

Some wood to brace and place the walls on the base.

Then put the walls together.

I love photo's, don't we all.

Gas pumps also very fragile , but 2 sides came out right so they will be visible in the scene.

Roofing is provided , I used it because the instructions convinced me it would look okay once weathered with chalks.

Very, very fragile sign post , but I succeeded in keeping it whole.

Some photo's before weathering.

And photo's after chalks were used for the roofs and signs were added to the walls.

A photo of the garage where it will be placed on my layout.
I love photo's, don't we all.

Great job Jan. The roof and the black/red trim are particularly distinctive. Very nice little structure!

Jan,

Wow, that didn't take long! Great job on the kit. Looks like the last place to get gas prior to heading down the road.

I like the multi colored shingles.  Nice looking build.

Thanks John , Jim , Jeff , Jom eh Tom  ;)

It's red trim , the black is from the lasercutting, something that is hard to hide in N-scale because of the fragility of parts, some are so small or thin , nothing would be left if you sanded away the  charcoal cut lines.
I love photo's, don't we all.

I always find it amazing that all you -scalers can get such neat looking structures in that small a scale.  :o
