The pieces are still a bit curvy, but with the additional gluing surfaces when it's time to attach to the base, it should straighten out.  The window frames are going in as well.  They have a  bit of a reveal, so they had to be painted on the sides as well as the fronts/insides.  The instructions suggest air brushing the whole structure, and it would have made painting these pieces easier.  But it probably would have taken longer to clean the airbrush than paint the windows.

I'm glad you were able to recover with the issues you have been experiencing. I like the wall color.

hey Jeff:

wow111 what do you think cause them to warp like that??? Looks like they are braced.

Thanks, Curt.  The colors are the CB&Q standard.  I'm using Model Flex paints as the Burlington Route Historical Society notes these are the two closest colors to the original color.  The paints don't dry completely flat, so I'll need to use some dullcoat.  Need to do that before putting in the windows.  The pain does dry very quickly, so quickly I needed to clean the brush after painting only 3 or 4 windows.

Karl, I think sealing the backsides with spray paint didn't help here, in fact it may have made it warp more when I used the Vetero stain (basically an alcohol stain).

Trying to attach the top trim piece on a curved wall isn't easy.  I flattened the wall against the angle irons and then clamped each section.  Hope it works.  I used thick super glue and Aileen's to hopefully hold it.
