Good Morning World;

Thought I would open the club house today. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch with the pups on my lap and a cool breeze to start the day, life is good. Yesterday I hosted a local modeling group and had Debra D' Designs judged by two NMRA MMR who have both judged at the National level. I got a lot of good feedback and learned much on what I need to work on. The model exceeded the required 88.5 score for merit qualification but did not score as high as I hoped, getting a 96. I was bummed at first but on reflection don't ask if you don't want to know. I need to work on fit and finish as most points lost due to some sloppy construction, brick not perfectly horizontal, columns not straight, that sort of thing. Stuff I needed to hear. So next project will be thought out a little better and built a little tighter. I appreciated the honest feedback from these two highly regarded modelers.

Today we get the house ready for my long time friend arriving for a visit tomorrow. He lost his wife a year ago and still a little lost. We will see the sights for next week. Well, coffee waiting time to get moving, hope everyone has as great day.

Morning, all.

Raining outside presently.  I will do some electrical work later installing a fan timer in the bathroom.

Weather in SE NH is perfect today.  Neighborhood Scotch club convenes at 4:00 at the 'secret clubhouse' (fire pit in neighbor's front yard.)  Mostly I go for chat, but occasionally they tempt me to try some of the good stuff.

Back to the train room to work more on the second set of row houses.  Now that the brick is painted, they really start to look like something.  I need to add sills and lintels, paint the cornice, and do the windows and interior inserts.

Morning all. Doing yard work today, I'll work on modeling tomorrow. It would be nice to have the weather we're having today all summer long.

Morning all,

Getting the prepared for tonight's toast to retirement gathering.  We delayed the event until the window installation was complete and we could return the house to normal.  I'll be cracking open a bottle of the 'good stuff', as Dave put it.  A bottle of Midleton Very Rare 2022 Irish Whiskey.  Crowd size will be smaller than anticipated thought.  One friend had to make a last-minute trip and another couple came down with COVID.

Got a little touch up work, a few final details and planting some weeds to do to complete Gorman Sign Company.  Hope to get that done today or tomorrow before we hit the road to PA on Monday.

Have a great one!
