Morning all.

Made it to my four day weekend.   :)  Guys will be delivering water softener salt sometime this morning.  This afternoon I have an ENT appointment as I can't hear out of my left ear and probably need a new tube placement, as the one I had placed last year has fallen out.

Hope to get some layout work done over the weekend as well.

The tree down the street that is usually the first to start turning fall colors is a nice shade of red.

I liked your pics yesterday, Doug,  of the fall colors where you are.  What kind of Mustang do you have?  Presently my ride is a 2021 Mach e.  I know they shouldn't have called it that as it's not a "real" Mustang, but it's quicker than my 2007 GT was.

Morning all,

Painter got the first coat of color done yesterday. He said he would do the 2nd coat today.  After that I will install baseboard in the garage space. Next week I plan to drive down to Dalton GA to purchase 1400 sq ft of 'random' 2ft carpet tiles.  Same stuff I used in the previous layout space.

Jeff, My Mustang is a 2023 Ecoboost Convertible with manual transmission.  I promised myself a 'fun' car after I relocated from FL to TN. In the past I was a Porsche/BMW guy, but divorced guy could only afford a Mustang.  ;D  These days a new 6 cyl Porsche or BMW convertible with a manual transmission is $80K (BMW) $100+K (Porsche). I ordered my 2023 on the last day a 2023 could be ordered but when we got the factory build date it was about 2 months AFTER the factory was supposed to have transitioned to the next generation 2024 models. I was advised there was a good chance my car was not going to be built.  So I started looking for alternatives and I found a great deal on a 2022 Mustang GT Premium Coupe with manual transmission.  The dealer kept my 2023 order and it was eventually built and delivered.  After 4 months with the GT coupe I decided I really wanted the convertible so I went down to the dealer to see if we could agree on a deal. I assumed there was no way they could make the numbers work, but their first offer was better than my required differential. And then I got them to knock another $2500 off.  I love the convertible and I don't miss the obnoxious noise from the 5.0 V8 at all.

Doug, Nice Ride!  I'd like those wheels on mine.

They are Steeda 19x10 Trident wheels (with Continental Extreme Contact Sport Max Performance summer tires). I kept the original Ford OEM 20" wheels/all season tires to use as 'winter' tires.  Supposedly the max performance summer tires are not supposed to be used below 40 degrees and will be destroyed if used below 30 degrees.  I also upgraded the brakes to the Brembo 6 piston caliper kit with 15" rotors from the Mach 1.  Next step is the get the suspension tightened up with a full Steeda suspension kit.

Gee, did I wander into "Car Talk" this morning?

We're getting a bit of much needed rain this morning.  After the cleaners are done, I'll go down and take another look at my notes for the wood truss, and if I like it, I'll start pulling wood and cutting the pieces.

Morning all,

Pam and I went grocery shopping this morning. I need to fix two sprinklers and then I can move to working on the trailer kit.

I should have an update later this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all (well, it was morning when I started typing this at 11:59 a.m.),

I did my morning walk and then a little grocery shopping afterwards.  After lunch I plan on popping a movie in and settling in at the workbench.

Have a great one!

Doug,

It is a daily chat and all things go but politics and religion.

Love your car.

Some people consider Mustangs a religion.  My brother does with Trans Ams.   8)
