Looks like a good day to take the pooch and take a walk on the beach with Diane.
On the modeling front I've been cutting strips of cedar now I have to make them into shingles.
I didn't like the way the the ready made looked.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

What a difference a day makes. After 4 1/2 hours of driving in heavy rain and orange barrels and detours... IMG_2015.jpeg

We found ourselves at the top of the mitten and crossing THE Bridge and entering the land of Gitchee-Goomee (sp) and clear skies and 70 degrees  :D. TDY was established at Northern Command an hour later.

The lake, Lake Michigan, is down considerably from last year. The beech is 50 yards wide or more.

The lake rougher this morning and it's just in the 50s. After the camp cook served up a bowl of Raymond's Noodles last night :o a trip for provisions from the quartermaster is due.

A sudden change in plans was made Monday afternoon after a stressful day for the Doll. Best way to plan a trip, just pick up, toss some shorts In a sack, jump in the truck and go.

I hope all are well. This is a short trip, headed back home Saturday. More appointments coming next week  :( "they" are coming from both ends.  :o

Be well all.

KS-[Northern Command OUT! ;D

Good Morning,

Keeping it brief since I have to go and my my hairs cut shortly.

Looks like everyone is having a busy day so far. It's still raining @ 55 with a high of 59 in New York.
Lots of outside work to do if the rain would only stop. Not sure about the rest of the day so we shall see what happens.

Have an enjoyable day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Sunny, blue skies here in SE NH now, after a cloudy start.  It's about the same sky as Karl shows from Northern Command.  It's good to see, we've had 5 days of rain and drizzle.  I have to go the City Hall and pay property tax, then to the store.  Down to the train room (more pick-up/put-away) when I get back.

Good evening folks,

Looks like I forgot to check in this morning.  1:1 stuff got in the way.

Have fun,

Good morning folks,

Coffee, tea, and assorted soft drinks are on the counter.  For breakfast we have sourdough waffles, ham, and maple syrup.

It's an overcast day in Georgia with a forecast for rain and 84F this afternoon.

Dave, how did the pickup and put-away go?

Larry, hope your day was to your liking.

Karl, the northern compound looks great.  Nice views.

Jerry, how was the walk on the beach?  Making shingles from cedar, wow!

Ron, congrats on the hearing aid repair.  Nice to have a translator available for your wife.

Philip, be careful on the ladder.  Alas, I don't need to parrot that.  ;)  Good luck with the repair.

Gregory, hope the thermostat repair went well.  Summer cometh!

How is the rest of the gang?

Yesterday I didn't do much upstairs.  I finished painting the fire barrel for the bridge.  I need to spend a few days on the 3D printers.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone.

Yachats, OR weather: 45 now, sunny and 56 later.

Mike, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope the 3D printing goes well.

Dave, property tax should be abolished.

Larry, maybe a dry day today?

Karl, "Guard Post#1"  :)
Hi Vicki.
Surprised the lake is so low.

Jerry, how's the shingling going?

Ron, good news about the hearing aids.

Philip, hope those repairs were made without incident.

Greg, new thermostat?

ACLTom, how long did the list end up being?

Curt, are you feeling better?

Dale, any news from the bench?

Spent most of the day taking pictures along the Oregon coast.
Star and I will do a hike this morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. Feet safe on the ground. Done

Thanks for the coffee Mike.

Rain but have a back porch repair on a short 5/4 boards. Doing the entire 6x6 step area. Was coming in the house and it gave away, warned the wife about it and 2 seconds later she almost twist her ankle and then gripes at me as I'm trying to do 4 other things.  Oh boy! Lumber store is close. Looks like the hardest part is the tear out a combination of screws and deck nail. We had some words, if your married you know the drill...... ::)

Have a great day!

Nike,

Thanks for breakfast and the soda.

Rick, my list is 16 items long. Three of them will be crossed off this afternoon.

I need to update a couple of threads. I've decluttered one side and now will take a break and reorganize the stuff under the layout.

I'm in the planning stages of ordering more of Joey Ricard's Trackside Scenery Backdrops for a section of the third level.

We got lots of much needed rain last night.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Bright sun  8) but cold, 340 at wake up. Might go into mid 40s.

Been changing smoke alarm batteries, had a bird chirping as we other door Tuesday. Those 9v batteries are costly in multiples, $7/pair.

Only 'net we have is by the cell phone and I don't mind at this point. Considering Starlink as the fiber project seems to be far frycompletion the microwave system from Northern MI U was a bust, no hurry for this trip up.

The defund the police movement has hit our county. After last Tuesday's vote the whole patrol section of the Sheriff dept is to be eliminated by September. Sad state of affairs. The whole issue was poorly managed in the run up to the election. Last fall the  first proposal was poorly written on the ballot and this week the only things I saw were poorly written and only vaguely promoted in the media coverage.

That's it from here in da'yoop. The Doll's on her frequent thrift run. Sparse findings with that.

Later. KS

Good afternoon everyone,

Thanks for the coffee Mike.

Currently 85F and overcast here.  Feels like rain here but I noticed that everyday feels like rain here.

Spent some time at the bench last night.  Spent the time installing blinds in three buildings.  That part is now done so the next step is installing lights in the three buildings.  Might start that process tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Weeeeeeeell.....seems the thermostat is fine, but the compressor is getting tired and complaining it has been working too hard in the heat of the afternoon. I hate writing big checks, they always wind up with all these little tear stains.  :'(

Other than that, a good day. Y'all have a good one also.....

Good evening from Wisconsin. I should be watching a hockey but no interest tonight! Maybe I'll catch game 2.

The daughter and family left at 4 for the 4 hour drive to Minneapolis. The last ice hockey tournament for the grandson this Spring season. He is only signed up for a couple hockey camps this Summer as he wanted a break from the ice. He'll still play soccer until the middle of June. They don't play in July or August around here but come back in September.

The bar is open and anything is virtually available. I am having some popcorn and an almost frozen Diet Dr Pepper! The colder the better.

Helped out at a deconstructing a layout room this morning. That's it for layout building, deconstructions or op sessions until late June. We leave next week for a couple of nights in Vegas at my brother's. We will then head to Pasadena for my niece's wedding on 5/24.

Have a good evening

Jerry

Evening everyone

Tom thanks for setting up the bar.

I'll have a glass of red wine tonight.
Never did make the beach today another windy day here.
And there forecasting rain tomorrow.

If your around please stop by and have a night cap with us.

See you all in the am.
