Very cool adaptation. I especially like the cornices (if that's the right word). Good eye, Bob! I would have driven right by...now I see all the subtle textures and materials. Very interesting.

I lived in St. Clair from January 1990 thru December of 1999 and used to take walks around town in the evening so this wasn't my first encounter with these stores.  They're pretty indicative of the shape the town is in as a whole.  It's gone down hill a little bit since we moved down to Florida.  There's a big difference between St. Clair and Lake Mary.   :D   I'm glad we're down here and not up there.

Next time I'm up visiting the in-laws I'll make sure to take another walk and snap a lot of pictures.  Maybe I'll even drive around to some of the 'coal patches' to see what other old gems may be hidden around there.
