Morning all,

Headed to 60 degrees here today.  This is the last day of my two week hiatus from work.   :P  I have so much PTO left that I'm basically working one day weeks (and one weekend a month) the rest of the way to retirement.

Ran some more trains yesterday.  Only one "non yard" derailment.  I have the track cleaning train set up and will run that several times today and maybe test some more locomotives.

Jeff, good job running the PTO account to zero!  Must be kinda fun doing only 1 day a week.  Looking at your rock cliff, try painting some of the strata a slightly different color, and see if that adds some more visual interest to the cliff.  I've done that with less well-defined rocks, and it did work pretty well.

The sun cracked the horizon and it immediately clouded up, similar to yesterday when we went of on short road trip for color, 10 min from the house it clouded right up.

Temps in the 50s and the dreaded S word in the weekend forecast. :-X  :'(

We went to Grand Rapids, stopped at the LHS, bought a jar of Tamiya paint and a set of Woodland Scenics rock molds, similar to those rocks in Jeff's pic.

Tractor repair is the intent for today, picked up the new battery yesterday, new ground strap and positive cable should be in today.

Bench time later?  I'll see.

Enjoy the day, all.

Track cleaning is a chore, enjoy, Jeff.

Good morning, all. NH seacoast is "overcast but I can tell where the sun is" and about 50F. Rain forecast for tonight and the weekend.  Already straightened out some electrical things for my roofer.  First 110 VAC compressor I've seen rated for 1.8 HP and 14 amps, of course it doesn't like voltage drop.  Next chore this morning is figuring out why the lock on my chest freezer won't open.  Then continue getting a head start on annual donations.

Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Dave, that's not my layout.  This is a pic from the Narrow Gauge convention.  Mine has more of a plywood/styrofoam esthetic.

The lock was iced up, easy blow drier fix.  I don't (and wouldn't) own a hackable lock, except on two relatively recent cars.
