Good morning everyone.

Karl, it's much too early for that yuck.
Come on down to AZ.
It will be sunny and 88 today.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Brrr.  Twenty seven degrees this morning when I took the dog out for a walk.  Shoulda worn gloves.  We did have some flurries yesterday along with rain pretty much all day.

Hawkeyes lost on last second field goal yesterday, hopefully the Patriots do better today.

Need to put away the cleaning train and test some more locos.

Working on a new video and should finish it this afternoon. Then, I need to build something.

Have a great day ya'll.

I like snow.   There, I said it.  I don't like ice, and I don't like cold (just above freezing) rain.  But I always look forward to the first snow of the year.

My college classmate in northern Vermont said they got snow earlier this week, a couple inches.

I went to bed early and got up late, more than 10 hours of sleep.  That felt good!  I did glue the two sweepers into position on the Machine Shop.  Today I'll dig through my stash of Tichy windows and pull the glazing out of packages to match the kit's (Tichy) window castings.

Good morning, all.  The NH seacoast is overcast and 50-ish. Showers turning to rain forecast later, but no more than .1" accumulation, so no drama.  No hard frost yet, I've been seeing dragonflies on warm afternoons.

My shoulder is feeling better this morning, but "wind the clock over the door" better, not "carry tools up a ladder" better.  So likely some modeling this afternoon.

Morning all,

Sorry, no bagels this morning. We went to the new bagel shop that sent us a postcard offering six free bagels. Apparently, everyone else in Lake Mary got that postcard and decided to collect on it this morning. The line was too long so we decided to pass.

Guess I'll spend the day watching football and working on models. My football choices will be limited to whichever game is on YouTube TV given they're in a pricing dispute with Disney and have dropped ABC and ESPN. Oh well.

Have a great one!

Greetings Folks;

Nice pictures of snow Karl. Fun to look at, not fun to live in it. Apparently someone left the weather door open and we are being told we will have lows in the 30's by Tuesday night. The clouds are building up and getting dark so I guess the cold front cometh to Central Florida. Still this morning was nice on the porch with coffee,, I even took an early morning nap out there.

I have been working mostly CAD design for a drawbridge for the canal scene of my layout. I looked back on my so called Layout Tour Tread and see the last post I made was over a year and a half ago. Since then I have made a couple buildings for the Lady Lake train museum layout as well as a couple of buildings to be on my own layout. I started the layout out thread years ago when I first began to learn the hobby. I still have a ton to learn to make it function completely but I think it is time to get serious about it since I am certainly not getting any younger.

Have a great day.

I d love to see what you are working up for a canal scene. I too, am working on one., Erie Canal with a lock.

Of you are looking for drawbridge ideas. Check out the drawbridge over the Mystic River in Mystic CN. It's really unique in structural design.
