Mike, Howdy,

Nice start on a nice kit. I've enjoyed all the Interaction Hobbies kits I've built. Darryl does a fantastic job on his kits and I'm sure you will as well.

Neat. I haven't attempted on of Darryls vehicle kits but have built some of his other kits. It'll be fun to see how this comes together and turns out.

Howdy folks,

Larry, Jerry, Rick, Curt, Tom, and Bob, thank you so much for your comments. The vehicle kits are constructed with the same unique design and attention to scale details that you find in the structures.  I have four more Model T varients to build.  ;D

Have fun,
mike

Howdy folks,

I've been in a bit of a modeling draught, but I'm getting back in the groove.

This kit has many parts that need to be painted before assembly.  I modified the design to reflect the prototype's open-air appearance.

The vertical braces per the prototype were added, and the sides were attached to the floor.

The passenger seats were made and glued in place.

Next is adding the front doors and the engine.

Have fun,
mike

Mike,

I've been thinking of getting a couple of those kits so I will definitely be following along.  You are off to a great start.

Mike, glad to see you getting back at it.
Looking good.

Howdy folks,

Jerry, Larry, Karl, Ron, and Rick, thank you for your support. I appreciate you following the build.

For the last few sessions, I worked on several Model T bits, plus designed and readied passengers for 3D printing. More on the passengers later.

Here's a profile photo of the driver compartment and roof added.  I removed the driver's roof after this photo and reattached it. It had not seated correctly. The engine compartment (hood/bonnet) is not glued on yet and is here for show.

The wheels are laminated from a spoke center and two outside walls.

The instructions called for sanding the wheels to make them look more realistic. I decided to use a Dremel tool mandrel and an electric drill (slower speed) to sand the edges and round the tires.  I'll post photos later of the sanded and painted wheels.  The finished wheel gets a larger center hub and wheel sealing ring to finish. The spokes are fragile, so I didn't add much side thrust when sanding.

That's about it for now. The fenders promise to be fiddly bits to attach.  Wish me luck.

Have fun,
mike
