Jeff

Thanks, Jeff! That's not necessarily the way I would have approached the roof but it's the way Darryl describes in the instructions and the YouTube video on building this kit, so I thought I'd give it shot. I'm happy with the results!  ;D

That moss covered roof is excellent.

Thank you, Rick! It's a great little kit from Inter-Action Hobbies. Wonderful details.  ;)

Quote from: Jerry on May 07, 2026, 05:15:34 PMBob that is just a perfect scene.

The roof couldn't be better.

Hope the back is doing better today.

Jerry

Thanks, Jerry! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. It was a fun build.

The back is kind of quiet at the moment. I'm moving on to the next round of Doctor's to try to figure out a way to keep it that way.  :P

Quote from: deemery on May 07, 2026, 06:15:10 PMWhat I've started doing with shingle (or tar paper) roofing is running a small line of glue (like Canopy Glue, something transparent) along the edge between the shingles and the roof, BEFORE I trim and letting that dry.  That helps prevent the shingles from moving as I trim them along the roof edge.  I also use a brand new knife blade to do the trimming.

dave

That's pretty much the way I did it, sans swapping a pair of Friskar Micro-Shears for the knife blade. I like them for this type of work. Especially on smaller roofs.  ;)

Thanks for the kind words, Mark! Always glad to share a build of a kit that hasn't been posted out here before.  :)

Quote from: PRR Modeler on May 08, 2026, 06:56:46 AMOutstanding modeling and detailing Bob.

Thanks, Curt! This one doesn't take up too much space, but I'll probably be hard pressed to find a spot for it on the layout I've been designing (in my mind, so far). Still, it was fun to build.  :)

Excellent work on the shed and details.  Inter-Action kits are fantastic and you've done this one justice.  Nice finish.

Have fun,
mike

Thanks, Mike! I agree, Inter-Action kits and details are fantastic. I have some smaller stuff like cigarette machines, soda machines, etc. as well as a few of the kits with interior details. Wonderful stuff.  ;D
