Morning all,

Headed to 92 today with some humidity.  I may try a short walk as my knee feels a bit better.  Next week is the air show and I'll be standing/walking for about eight hours (and probably eight miles all told).

Fixed all the turnout motors that could be done (two were unreachable, but can be totally replaced if needed), along with the non working motor (wire came loose) and a dead yard track (same issue).   Tightening the motors up caused a couple of the throwbar wires to raise and stopped a train, so I had to examine them all and cut them if needed.  Two of the motors were loose and probably would have fallen off soon.

Did have a coupler issue with a pair of F3s, so they were replaced by other units.  My grandson is coming over tomorrow so everything needs to be ready to go.

Good Morning Jeff and all who pop in;

Overcast and muggy. Looks like a repeat of yesterday, I expect thunderstorms by this afternoon. Did some electrical wiring on current build, plan to finish it today. Have some chores and a walk in my future. All and all a nice day. Been watching the crowds here for the world cup. It looks like they are having a great time and enjoying the country! It has definitely been fun to watch.

Good morning, Jeff, Jim, Greg and crew. This morning in the lower Merrimack Valley has been pleasant and cool, but bright sun is supposed to get us up to 87F later.  I'm home today, bills, gardening and meetings on the agenda. Modeling work probability is low.

Had an interesting drive in the Bolt yesterday northeast to the Sebago Lake area of Maine.  Got off the highway and onto back roads much earlier than the robot hoped, saw some farming areas that reminded me of what my town and its neighbors once looked like. And our Bolt delivers 50% more miles per KWH at 45-55 MPH than it does at 60-70 MPH: Air drag increases as the cube of speed, which is why most of us remember 55 MPH.

8) Sunny and climbing heat, index in excess of the Century Mark per the forecast.  :-*

House full of folks this am, bacon and eggs being "built from Scratch" and the youngest are planning a trip to the Tahquamenon  Falls. I'm going to bow out, I've a couple projects that need attention.

We had two rounds of storms with 3/4" of rain in the gage this morning. The second storm was a rumor to me as I was in Z-ville  :D

Enjoy the day all. Keep your cool.

I think the MPG test is run at something like 52MPH, so cars are built to optimize that speed for mileage.  James, I finally got that AAA magazine with the article on Dover NH.  Not bad, but they should have mentioned the building the Children Museum is in is the former National Guard armory.  So it's not all just mill buildings...  :o

Anyway, I'm back from German class, and a walk through the newly reopened Dover library.  I've always been interested in architecture of libraries, they did a nice job with the new library, but of course no one knows where anything is now.  The one meeting room has been redone, so I'm sure it has -much better- acoustics.  Yesterday I did some Sculptamold over raw plaster wrap, to continue the forestation project along the backdrops.
