Morning. This morning I've been watching videos of a water main  break on the other side of town someone is posting. Don't miss being woken up by those calls. I offered my services but they passed..🤣

Howdy!

It's funny how the algorithm just feeds you videos that "hit the spot"  ;D

A while ago we had a discussion about steam cranes and YouTube fed me this video:

It is going to get really hot today. The actual temperature is going to reach 100 F. No doubt the heat index is going to be even higher.

Stay cool and away from water leaks.

Morning all,

Humidity still 96%, but only headed to 83 later.  Already been out on a walk with the pup as I have dog duty for the week since my wife is out of town.

This is a rare P-43, only 272 were built.

100% sun  8)  this morning with temperature in the Mid 50s! , we had a T-boomer pass late in the afternoon and it left us with 1/2" of rain in about 20 minutes. Followed up with a rainbow out on the lake.

Had a movie on last night about some convoluted scheme of the Germans restoring a B-17 and sending it out toward supposedly England with some Extra Evil Weapon. The featured plane was Yankee Lady until recently based here in Michigan at the Yankee Air Force museum at Willow Run. It's been sold in the last couple years for funds to keep the museum solvent.

Little here to add so far today. It's quiet and peaceful here at Northern Command.

Good morning,

It's currently 88, feels like 100, the humidity level is 73% and I have to go outside and mow the lawn. :P After that I'll clean up and try to hydrate to recover. Then I may hit the workbench. PT exercises will have to wait until later in the day.

Have a great one!

Good Morning Folks;

Great photos, I did not even know there was a P-43 Jeff, looks like a cross between the P-40 and P-47 which I guess it was.  This morning I had an eye doctor appointment to have the laser surgery on left eye due to film build up on the lens. It was fast and apparently went well. I have some financial meetings to watch in a bit then day is mine to work at the bench. I thought I would show a car just finished by one of the guys in my local modeling group. Mike Evens has been a long time NMRA member and has all the awards you could want but prefers to model in our little small group. As you can see from this kitbashed, mostly scratch built car he sure knows what he is doing.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning,

It's a cloudy 72 with a high of 79 with some rain later. I feel for you guys with the high temps; stay cool and hydrated. Raymo what a gorgeous layout scene, and love all the details.

Jeff and Karl nice aviation photos; I've always liked old military planes.

Bob stay cool.

Jim glad to hear the eye surgery went well and enjoy your time at the bench.
