About 20 years ago, I started building Campbell's Susannah's Frocks kit. Shortly after that, We moved to a new home and I packed up all my train stuff. I finally got around to resuming the kit. I don't remember the reason I painted it two tone purple, but I was probably thinking that it would look Victorian. So, at this point the main walls are glued up and I will be continuing on.

Larry,

I'll follow as well. I think the pilot model for Susannah's was a shade of light or faded purple. Can't remember if it was a house of fine repute or what.

Thanks to all of you for looking in. The photo came out a bit darker that the actual paint.

Tom, I think that Campbell's original intent was for it to be a women's clothing store. However, the great thing about modeling is that we can make it anything we want.

Janbouli, Curt, and Gregory: good to have you aboard again.

My intent at this time is to have some sort of display in the front window. I'll be experimenting with interior lighting for the first time. Can't wait to get going on that.

Great to see a Campbell kit out here.  I'll be following along!

As far as the colors go you can find a prototype for everything.   :)

That pretty bright. I have an unbuilt Susannah's Frocks that I plan on making into Joan's Quilt Shop.  My wife (Joan) makes quilts, and I always thought this would be a cool kit to build.  I will be watching to see how your build progress. Great work so far.

Thanks for all the comments. The photo turned out much brighter than the building is.

John, I like  your idea for a quilt shop since my wife also quilts. I might just steal that idea.
