Wednesday evening December 17, 2025, Bill fell and fractured his left hip bone.

Yesterday, he had hip surgery in a procedure called hip nailing surgery.  Basically he had a screw inserted to secure/align the fractured bones.

I spoke to Bill last evening and although a bit tired, he is in good spirits. He expects to be back in several weeks. He has a road of recovery and rehab.

Last night Bill said to me, "Merry Christmas to me". I said, " You should have given yourself a train and not a hip fracture."

Tom, thanks for letting us know.
I hope Bill is resting comfortably and is up and about and BS'ing again very soon.

Tell The Judge we all hope he recovers quickly!  And he can use the downtime to come up with more stories...  (Make sure he has a voice recorder app on his phone for when inspiration strikes.)

(Seriously, when I saw the subject, I was afraid it might have been something worse than just a fall...)

Dave,

You are correct, I changed it to read fall and recovery.

WOW!  Sorry to hear about Bill's mishap.

Tell him I wish him well and I say a little pray for a speedy recovery.

Now he can work on more stories for us.
