Morning all,

Lightly snowing here at 32 degrees, headed to 34, so I don't think it will stick around for long.

I need to get back to finishing last year's challenge (the FSM kit).  Just some detail parts, signs and figures to do.  I think I'll try a MUCH smaller kit for this year's.

Good Morning Jeff and all who follow;

Looks like another sunny warm day in Central Florida.

I brought my bride home from hospital yesterday. The right knee revision went well be revisions are tougher on the body then the original knee replacement so she is in a brace and resting this morning. That makes me chief cook and body washer. My cooking skills are limited to tuna sandwiches so we will be ordering in a lot. Anyway all well here, hpe the same for you.

Morning all,

Jeff, that is just a little to nippy for me. It was a cool 58 here this morning.

Jim, glad to hear the Boss is doing better. Some doctors shouldn't be doctors.

Trying to decide what to build for a challenge build this year.

Have a great day ya'll.

100% chance of accumulating snow in today's Weather Moment...record warm in area reporting stations, yesterday.

We're headed out later for dinner for our grand daughter, actual date 1-7.  Haven't heard where.  She lives with her aunt and we'll report there at ~1 PM to report for transportation.

I had bench time and 3d time along with mask and paint time yesterday.  My current paint project is going slow.  I figured the idea of an undecorated unit was to be able to paint it easily, but the mfgr, Bowser/English has all the tiny bits adhered in place and it make for some compromises in my standard practices.  Add in some paint performance disappointment...and there is more time going into this than I had hoped.  My way, I guess, why do it easy when complicated can mess up the day(s) Not sure it will be ready for OPS Monday.

Enuf from here, Go GREEN!

The above freezing temps last night cooled off, and the water that was sitting on the driveway turned into very slippery ice.  But that should melt quickly.  Temps climbing back into the low 40s, for our continued January thaw.

Last night I worked on a little 'farm bridge over the tracks'.  I did a jig for assembling the joists and floor board, and I'll flip that jig over and do another one for the (2) trestle bents.  I'm not sure how much I'll get done today, I have to go to the store and Scotch Club will convene at 4:00.

Morning all,

I too, like Jeff and Tom, am thinking about what to build for the challenge. First, I need to wrap up the current build, which is finished except for adding the lighting. I gave some thought to building the FSM Stuffy's Brewery kit but, given my snail's pace, I know I won't get it done by the deadline. I have a few FOS kits in mind and one Inter-Action Hobbies kit. Hmmm..... :-\

Have a great one!

Good morning, Jeff, Jim, Tom, Karl, Dave, Bob and later arrivals. Best wishes for your wife, Jim.  Any ice in the lower Merrimack valley had melted before I got up. It was 39F then, 45F now and I can see much of my lawn. I need another cold spell to prune my orchard, but February has always delivered.

I made some progress last night, finding that Walthers' Goo doesn't dissolve my local grocery store's meat tray foam.  Back up to the attic again after lunch.

Too funny!  I found my wallet that I lost a couple weeks ago.  I had knocked it into that black rubber (MicroMark) plaster mixing bowl in the sink, and only noticed when some water splashed into that bowl.  The color was an exact match!

Tom I agree. Doctors are not created equal but the system we have today pays them as if they are. If a doctor makes a mistake that has to be corrected, for whatever reason the least that should happen is the money they would have been paid should go to the patient instead. It is not like a plumber goofing, I don't want the same doctor getting a second chance! At least not on my body!

Wow, Dave. I hope you hadn't already started replacing whatever was in the wallet...

Yeah, everything but one insurance card and AAA card were replaced.  Ugh!
