recently obtained several Ulrich trucks getting ready to assemble them and was wondering if anyone has had any luck window putting window in these models. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Scott H

I started a couple but never finished them. They ended up on EBay. Frank Baker has a bunch on his layout. I probably would have used Gallery Glass and clear styrene.

Like Dan said Frank (Erieman) has experience with them - I would send him a PM and see if he has any pointers.

Thanks guys. I have a few in my stash but never attempted them. I always leaned towards the Jordan models. I'm more comfortable with styrene.

Scott.

I've managed to get microscope slide glass to go in some models that didn't have too rounded cab designs.

I cut the glass with a carbide machinist's scribe.  I glue them in with Goo as super glue leaves a bluish color that is very hard to get off of the glass.

Hope this helps.

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

My favorite truck. I have a couple of the old Ulrich short cab over engine trucks. I have installed side mirrors, but not glass. I guess I'm a bit timid when it comes to the glass segment of windows. I have planned on trying the glass product that use on windows. The name escapes right now because i cant find the bottle. I am always on the lookout for the short cab over engine truck only. I have plenty of trailers. I have a friend that had a slew of them and we swapped a model of mine for all his trailers. He got the better of the deal, but that's okay. Most of the trailers have had to have the axle and wheels replaced. Sorry no help on the glass. If anyone knows where I can get some more cab over engines, please let me know. I might get lucky, there is a swap meet this weekend!
