We would be happy to host the car on the Four County Society of Model Engineer's (FCSME) layout. We are only set up a few times a year, so we would have to coordinate the schedule so as to avoid any lag time.

Please feel free to ship the car to Australia before sending to me.  That will give me more time to set up some dioramas.  Jim

Like Mr. Mueller, I'd like to host the car after it goes "Down Under".  There's a tiny chance I could have some scenery in place by then.

So Karl called this morning at seven and told me that the FSM hopper had been logged in at the interchange yard five hours earlier.

I jumped in the truck to get to the crossing where all traffic comes through Meridian after being picked up at the interchange.

Yep...... there it was ! ! !

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

Then I chased it through town and snapped off photos as it was being moved toward Boise.

Then the hopper got transferred into the trolley division as there is no steam service into the yard where Idaho Power takes coal for its generators.

Box motor 77 is spotting the car on the siding to Idaho Power.

It looks like they are going to bounce the car around some yet today.  I followed the empty back to Meridian where they are going to reload it for another run to the power company.

The trip down under has been delayed until October 1st.  Do you want Bob to send you the car next or should we send it to Minnesota first?

So I caught up with FSM hopper today on its way back to the East Boise transfer where the electrics are pulled off and the steam is put back on for a return trip to Meridian.

But then.......  They did what can only happen on a short line....... they stopped at Uncle Louie's Trolley Cafe for lunch while waiting for the steam to come out from Nampa.

Then right on schedule, here came the steam.

They then made another run but this time the steeple cab was put out to make the transfer pickup.

On the way to Meridian they found a shipper's request for the car to go out of Boise with a load. So back to the coal yard.
