Tom,
As much as I call myself the most fortuitous modeler on the planet being able to work with George on the F&SM.  I still can't call myself a person with a gifted eye!  See, you post all these fabulous pictures on this wonderful thread.

As I look closer to the pictures I noticed the deliberate angles and views and notice most of these shots are actually by design.  Me? I look at the layout almost every week and can't see the views like you show.

I can't see the layout for the structures. ha. When I look at your pictures, I actually get to notice what I don't really look at.  Shame on Me!  Thank you for wakin' me up brother!  Thanx Thom...

Thom,

Thanks very much. I didn't know if I would ever make it back so I shot all I could fit in the time slot.

Yes, you are most fortunate to be part of the "inner circle". I can certainly understand if you look at the F&SM differently than most. When we you see something everyday or several times a week it all just seems to blend in and we actually take our great fortune for granted.

I think your focus with George is mostly getting stuff to run ie, track, turnouts, motive power, signals, and etc. You see the layout but never see the structures for what they are.

You said you cant' see the layout for the structures. I think you mean you can't see the structures for the layout.

Anyway, it is certainly John and my pleasure to show the forum members just how wonderful and very unique this layout actually is.

Let's take a few steps back and look at an overview of the area we are currently viewing.  Behind Westside Auto we have two more FSM kits.  First we have Skinner's Row and on the street behind Skinner's we have Dexter's Dead End.

On the street between this two groups of structures we have this Beer Wagon.

Here are a few pictures of the individual structures that make up these two kits. First we have Jacob Tire Company.
