Build Challenge 2018 - Tichy Train Group Lamp Posts

Awesome.... Soldering is my nightmare.....

Well, I decided to finish this challenge and start another one tomorrow.

The top of the lamp post has a "Lamp Base". Don't be confused with this term as the bottom of the lamp post is referred to as the "Post Base".

Anyway, I removed the lamp base from the plastic post. You'll notice in the next picture there is a little nipple at the top of the lamp base. I removed this and the lamp base from the post.

The little tab fits into the bottom of the clear globe on the lightl





I sanded the top and bottom flat.

I then glued the top, or as referred to as the canopy, to the top of the clear globe.





I then used a 1/16 drill bit to enlarge the hole in the bottom of the globe. This is so the Micro LED fits up into the bottom of the globe.

I used Floquil Brunswick Green and hand painted the lamp post.

Here is the now finished and painted pilot brass street lamp post.
