Al,

Thanks for following along and you are welcome. This is truely a fantastic layout. My pictures just don't show it as it needs to be seen. Cliff is one of a kind when it comes to modeling.

More great photographs of a great layout - thanks.  I just can't get a picture in my head of how big this layout is?  Do you have any idea how many square feet?  And all of it has great detail.

John,

Thanks for checking in. This is a great layout and it is housed in a 14X32 ft. building, separate from the house. It has it's own central air/heat system. Cliff has done the impossible in that there is just a huge amount of modeling in this amount of space, masterful modeling that is.
This may help you in getting the size of the layout in the proper perspective.

John,

I sure hope you do! It was well worth my 9 hour drive to see it and especially to meet Mr. Powers.

Tom,

Thanks for posting even more great photos of Cliff's great layout - again, I'm seeing views I hadn't seen before.  Wonderful stuff!

There are so many great scenes and views of this layout, I think you and Cliff should consider putting it all together into a coffee table type book, ala Howard Zane's wonderful book.

Truly inspirational stuff!

Al,

Thank you for following and posting your comment! This layout is truly one of the best ever. I feel this is as good as the FSM only on a smaller size. For the Southern look and feel, Mr. Powers nailed it!

As far as the book is concerned that would be entirely up to Cliff. Howard did his own book and there was a least a year+ in prep work, etc. I received an email from Cliff last month and he mentioned he has been extremely busy with work, family and teaching. He mentioned also he is considering a "sabbatical" from the layout for some time.

Again, Al, thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your time.

Here are a few more of Cliff's layout.

Cliff told me, if I remember correctly, the green structure is a kit bash of Model Tech Studios and Bar Mills kits.
