Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

I have had good luck with the top of the line brushes for acrylics from Michael's.  I make sure that I don't use them to use them with paints using lacquers or mineral spirits.

I've used the Windsor Newton Brushes for details and they work well.  I also had some brush that had a triangular shaft, I think from Vallejo,  which was very comfortable to hold, but it eventually wore out.  I have the Vallejo Kolinsky Sable brushes, still in their original package I got on sale somewhere.  I'll need to try them next time I'm detailing something.  Thanks for starting this thread and reminding me of them.  The Michtoy site looks very interesting as well.

Thanks Steve, I do have mostly Michaels brushes and they have been pretty good, I think I'm just hard on all tools.  ;D

Jeff I ended up ordering some Sable hair brushes with odd shaped handles to hopefully improve holding the brush.

Lynn...
My favorite go to brush for structures is a 3/0 R&L ... (  Round mini MAJESTIC by Royal  & Langnickel #4200R )
picked up a few at a local hobby shop years back and know they are on the internet and art supply stores.
Great for bricks, stones, window trim, etc. using craft paints ... until next time !
Also I like the thicker handle for older hands like mine...
