I'm confused:  Didn't your Pan Pastels come in individual containers with lids?

dave

No, in a clamshell-like plastic tray. There were 10 depressions, 7 of them holding a 'tub' of color, the middle tub had a lid. It seems they are stackable, but who wants to do that? One cannot really see the colors when they are stacked.
The sets that Roger Malinowski sells comes with labels you can stick on the sides of the containers to mark the colors.  In theory, you can stack the containers, but they are not very stable when stacked (the depth of the 'indent' isn't enough).  The containers could have been designed a bit better.

I agree. I went to the Pan Pastel site. I can order a set of 8 lids for <$7, but shipping is almost the same price. I'll deal with them the way they are for awhile.

Randee,
I've used the PanPastels and like them very much.  However, like you I got mine originally in a stackable set that was clumsy and could not see all the colors.  Eventually I did get separate tops for each of the "tins" and they are much better IMHO.  Unfortunately can't remember where but they were not that expensive as I recall.  Keep looking and if I can find where I got them I will pass that along.

Yes, they are not that expensive but the shipping was more than I was willing to pay. Next time I order something from Amazon, I will add the lids. If you can find them cheaper, great!

How about just putting a piece of plastic wrap on top of each container and securing it with
a rubber band?
I don't know much about this faincee weatherin' schtuff - I just use chalk sticks from Dick
Blick and scrape them off into a paint tray as I need them!

Pan Pastels are a lot like flat make-up.  So if she has the right color, you can just steal your wife's make-up.  Can't get any cheaper than that!!
