Hi fellas- we're transitioning from sleet to snow here in DFW Tx. 34 degrees F.....I might actually have to do a little work on the layout today.   But we'll see.....I stayed up till 3:00AM watching the tube (ROKU) I never enjoyed TV as much as I do now. I've been retired since May of 2019 and as more time passes, I just enjoy not having to work more and more.....It's like living at home as a young teenager before you were old enough to have a real job.  It's true what I've heard about retirement......

1. There's no more 'Sunday nights' to tease you...
2. It's your second childhood..(with NO adults around to answer to)....
3. There's nothing like NOT being tied to a clock or calendar.......

Ya'll have a great day; stay warm........

Yup, when you're retired every day is Saturday! I retired in January of 2019 and you couldn't pay me enough to  to go back to that rat race. Now instead of working for a company I get to work for myself; besides I don't think I could squeeze work into my schedule.

Hi and thanx to Tom,Larry,Bob,Phillip and Gerg. Ya'lls input and comments are arelly appreciated and inspiring.  Today is Saturday, I decided to go ahead and move the desk and small file cabinet out from under the layout; and put them over by the window in the corner across from the layout.  That area wasn't being used very well, and since the layout will go across that wall next, the desk & file cabinet fit in perfectly.  Now I can have the extra area under the layout to keep one of the black office chairs, and store some other stuff.  I also added some skirting.  I'm planning on starting the next section(extension)later this month-or early in February.
All for now...........stay tuned .........

Hi Kyle,

The changes look great, love the roll up desk.  Nothing like skirting to make the layout look finished.

Looking forward to the start of the next section.

I always appreciate seeing layouts in their rooms, it's interesting to see how people 'finish off' the railroad from what the viewer actually sees.
