Thanx Larry C*, thanx Curt, thanx Rich, thanx Mike, and thanx Jerry;

Hellow again fellas; ;D .....I was hoping the change would generate some critical thinking and some objective and insightful thoughts from ya'll :D  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;) thanx soooooo much  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D ......

Today (Tuesday) I did a little more carving and fitting :) ; I carved a new piece to fit along the base between the 2 large pieces, worked a bit on part of the back side (no photos yet), and worked on the 'opening' that makes it an "Arch'  (I guess) ::)......I think it sorta looks like one ::)  :) ...........see 'whatcha' think.......

I'm trying to create the scene of a rock formation that has almost split completely into 2 distinct formations, and are starting to 'sit' at slightly different angles  :o  ::) ... but are still connected enough so that they haven't collapsed yet :o  ;)........unlike the other formations that are dipicted in the backdrop behind Bubbles....(below).........in the new arch scene (above),..the formation with the opening that is the "Arch" is tilted slightly towards the viewer...... :o  ::) ....hopefully it is noticeable ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) ....that's all for now ....more to come, so stay tuned..........see ya..... 8)  8)  8)  8)

Thanx Carl, thanx Curt, thanx Phillip, thanx Michael,thanx Rich, and thanx Mike;

I hope everybody had an enjoyable and safe Thanxgiving.

This year we did Itialian for a change... :o ....I've always (since 2007) done the Thanxgiving day cooking.  But this year I needed a little break, and was in the mood for something different.  Turns out everybody else.. Patrice, Gage and my younger brother...were also OK with trying out something new... ;D ....so I let Tony at Pop Z's Pizza and Pasta cook us up a couple of real New York style pizzas, I purchased the lasagne and italian bread from Mitch at Monis' Italian Resturant, we had a salad on the side....with Italian dressing ;D  ;D ........and cranberry sauce (had to have that) if one so desired ........Topped it off with Pumpkin pie with whipped cream and Apple pie for dessert... ;)  ;) some traditions just can't be left out ;D  ;D .......

Then I forgot to open the cranberry sauce :o  :o  >:(  ::) but nobody seemed to care ....they were too busy stuffing their "pie holes" with pie  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) ........

Thanx for all the kind words and comments  ;) they help out in the motivation bit....I carved the rest of the small section of base yesterday and worked on the back part some....I hope to finish it up in the next few dys  ;D  ;D .....

Gonna put up the Xmas tree and add the lights today.....Partrice loves to decorate it with her hundreds of ornaments  :o  ;)  ;) ....it sure looks great when she's done ;D  ;D  ;D though....so Merry Christmas to all  ;D  ;D  ;D ......see ya.......... 8)  8)  8)

THANX RON!!!!!! ;D  ;D  ;D

You and Dave Meeks were two out of many of the most influential and supportive fellas on the old forum.... ;) and on this one ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)

That is one of the highest and most generous compliments I could ever recieve......I have followed you and everybody elses' fine work very closely, so I could learn what the hell to do  ;D  ;D .....I've watched Daves' Youtube channel and followed every step of the way on all his projects...in addition to all the fellas on the old and on this forum, 'cause I needed to learn what to do to 'make sh*t work' :o  :o ... I thank you from deep in the bottom of my Texas Heart ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) .....here's some shots of the first coat of color after the finished carving, and the new part is a tad darker than the rest ::) but I'll take care of it as the washes and coloring proceeds.........whadda ya think ????? :o  :o  :o  ;D  ;) ......
