The 'witches hat cupola' was inspired by the fine work of Jim Finley ...     ...he built the depot at Squawbottom on John Allens' Gorre & Daphetid .....

"Compromise is the tool of convention"....    

It WAS,  ...now it's nothing        ...although I did scratch build the cab, scratchbashed the tender, and lengthened the pilot, and modified the cylinders.....       ....does that count ??      ....

Now I have to make myself get busy soldering the trackage in Grizzly that has'nt yet been done...   .....I don't really mind it so much, but it would be easier to do it at a work bench      ......oh well........

Wow, that was weird...     the internet went crazy.......    

Oh well I guess I'm back....here's a couple of shots of my other scratch build.....it's a 2-6-0 cab forward...from back in 2017-18 on my original layout The Grizzly & Dilapidated Ry. from 2012 - 2017... then I changed the name of the RR from The Grizzly & Dilapidated Ry. to the Blackrock Canyon RR ......... hence the  BCRR on the tender,....I dropped it in 2020 so it's also in pieces         ...awaiting re-construction......       ....it was a great runner and looked really cool 'puttering' around the layout...   ....I used it for the local passenger service with a combine and a caboose in tow...       .....


These were taken on the original G&D Ry. (built from 2012-2018) then I moved...........see ya......
