Thanx Jerry, thanx Phillip, thanx Ron, thanx Cuse, thanx Dave, and thanx again Ron....also everybody that grabbed a quick look-see....... :o  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) ..........

NEWS FLASH................. :o  :o  :o  :o  ::)  ::)  ;D This track plan actually survived reality - well at least the yard construction...............everything is ready for glue and solder; with a little luck - that'll get done over the weekend.... ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)  ;)....I made a change in the D&RGW Interchange - Ron - I was looking for something a bit more 'dramatic'... :o ...and since the elevation was now at 0" ...I decided to connect it on the grade going up to Dilapidated, ... ;D  ;) ... I've also added 2" of elevation to the 'upper reaches' of the layout - Dilapidated - now the elevation is 64".. :o  :o  :o  ::) ...I know that's pretty high up....but I do have a 10" tall step stool.... ;)  ;) , I think it'll be OK....besides I'll mock it up first using a platform with some bldgs and see how it works..... ;)  ;)

"Here's photographic evidence Your Honor"...."Gail Tempest did not kill Kirk Robin!".... :o  :o  ???  ::)  ::) ...wait a minute .....wrong dialogue.... ::)  ::)  ::) ....here's the yard progress so far - and the modified Grizzly Depot .....I really like it, I think it looks more the right 'size' for a small RR - yet it 's still sorta 'fancy'........??? ???  ;)  ;) .......whadda ya think ??...........thanx again for takin' a peek and leaving the comments and suggestions... I try to consider all thoughts that are offered .......that's all for now see ya............. 8)  8)  8)  8)  8)

Great progress Kyle. It will be interesting to see the dilapidated line and transition.

Thanx Curt, thanx Dave, thanx Phillip, and thanx Michael;.......and howdy to all those that just grabbed a quick glance at the G&D Ry.
..... ;D  ;D much appreciated..... ;)

I worked out all the construction details for the next portion of the G&D Ry. today (Sunday), and drew them to scale so I'd have a cheat sheet to go by .... ;D  ;D  ;D..... next I started on the grade around Blackrock.....;D  ;D ...I was able to repurpose the bumpout section from the old '2 loop design'  :o  ;D ...I even got it to work out in a manner that means I might not have to buy 2 Woodland Scenics 4% incline set  ;D  ;D  ;D .....I was going to buy 2 of them because the total length of the grade is 14 feet...but I wanted to do as the great John Allen recomended and start the grade at what ever percentage works - and half way up lower it once the train is completely on the grade.... :o  ;D  ;)  ;).....so I started at 4% and after 8' (@ 4" elev.) I dropped it to 3% for the remaining 6' and topped it out at 6" elevation - 62" off the floor.... ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) ...I'm OK with that height, and I need only purchase one 4% incline set ... ;D  ;D ...plus I'll be able to reach everything......the scenery and backdrop will also be really fine looking at that height..........

Pictures to follow later this evening....... ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  all for now.....thanx again for all the support and interest... ;D  ;D ...it's very inspiring..........see ya.......... 8)  8)  8)  8)

Back again... :o  ;D  ;D  ;D ...

Thanx Ron;....I actually thought to myself last night..."this is the most 'rail-roady' yard I've ever done".. :)  :) ...I just like the way it looks, and 'feels like an old 'well used', but not completely 'worn-out' facility.... :) ...it still functions efficiently, and the RR has enough revenue from the industries it serves to keep it up to snuff; there's also the traffic revenue from the interchanges with the std. gauge Texas Pacific and Western, (my imaginary line - a sub of the T&P).... ;)  ;)  8)  8) and the D&RGW...... ;D  ;D  ;D .....so here's the shots I mentioned earlier.... :o  :o  :o  ;D  ;D  ;D ......

First up are the "destructions" I drew to scale, so I wouldn't "F it up too bad".....when the dirt starts flying.. ;D  ;D ...the green lines are the lower level, the orange ones are the upper level,.... ;D ...the grades are in red (4%) and blue (3%) the elevations are in pencil...hope ya'll can make them out.. :o  :o .....

'Dilapidated'..........there are no elevations on this one..the upper (orange) is at 6 1/4", the lower level is at -0-...also I didn't draw a 'dashed' line to designate when the lower line is in the tunnel - but you can just make out the entrances... ???  ???  ??? ...I hope.....
007.JPG

Now here's Blackrock... ;D ......4% is red - 3% is blue.....bridge is at 6 1/4".... ;D  ;D....the orange & green together denote the change elevation on the way up to 4"....otherwise the orange is upper level, green - lower level.... ;)  ;) ..the grade begins right below the center of the bridge....and ends at the beginning of the bridge.... 8)  8)
006.JPG

Now for the rest of the shots.... ;D  ;D these show the position of the 'repurposed' 'bumpout section' of the old loop in Grizzly.. ;D  ;D ...it is at apprx. 3% grade..... ;)  ;) ...

008.JPG

This is the approx. location of the arch bridge I scratch built back in 2015 and have used over and over... :o ...it's an 'oldie but a goodie'...it sits at its exact 6 1/4" elevation...... ;D  ;) ... 8)  8)  8)  8) ...cool ....
011.JPG

OK... that about winds up tonights' presentation... :o  ::)  ::)  ::)  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)  ;) ..thanx again for spendin a minute or 2 to check things out, I appreciate all the comments, suggestions and inquiries  ;D  ;D ...it helps keep the tank full.........(the wife says I fart too much) :o  :o  :o  :o  :o I guess that means I'm "full-a-shit"   :P  :P  :P  :-[  :-[  :-[ :(  :o  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)  ;) ....thanx again......see ya.... 8)  8)  8)  8)  8)
