Can you tell me the width & length of the shingles???

Jerry

24" x 12"  or 1/2" x 1/4" in O scale.

I love the Juke Joint and the jib for bending the goose necks. Well done.

Tom

Thanks Tom! They turned out ok but the radius could be tighter. I need to make a proper jig on the lathe and mill. One day maybe.

Thanks again!

So here is the latest with all the extras installed. Brick piers, stove pipe still working on. Signage is so time consuming looking for matching era stuff.

The dreadful roof was toned down with more brown chalk. I got carried away with the black and made a huge mess and dry brushing the excess didn't work or an alcohol thinning made it worst! The joint is to be heated by coal and wood as needed but........woah Sally don't get to carried away.

Still a ton of work remains as the brainstorming continues. It's a seedy place but not a whore house, nor will it be.

Great colors on the roof and walkway in front.
Maybe some more brown out back to cover the darker areas.
Not sure why wiping down with alcohol wouldn't remove some of the chalk and lighten it some.

Larry C

Philip very nice work on this build. It has a lot of character.

Thank you Curt!

Rick most likely because I cut it with water when adding the chalks. It really absorbed into the grain is my guess. I use Micromark chalk so who knows, it may not even be chalk. I need to invest in some Rembrandts chalks. If anything it needs a light tan going over?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Larry! Where did you purchase your chalks from?

Another juke that is screaming to be modeled.

Philip I have always used A.I.M. weathering powders although they were taken over by Monroe Hobbies. They can be found online under either name.
