Morning all,

Headed to 84 degrees later.  Will take a short walk this morning as I'm a little sore from my five mile one yesterday.  Here's my haul from the auction.  The first pic shows why I went to pick these up as the shipping of this volume would have been $$$.  The second shows the stuff.  Walther's kits which were in two lots, Red Caboose/Intermountain kits which contained several BREX reefers, Proto 2000 kits which I got for less than $10 apiece, a single lot of books, many of which I already have and will sell later (along with a few of the Intermountain cars), many Mini Metals/Athearn trucks, buses, tractors, a Proto 2000 2-10-2, and a single CB&Q brass reefer.  The last pic is all the reefers fresh from the paint shop, ready for action.

That's quite the haul, worth the trip.

Muggy today, fog was burning off but it must have been 101% humidity.  More work on the machine shop belt drive shafts planned for today.

Great haul Jeff. Dave I got you beat with the humidity. It's brutal here today.

Impressive buy, Jeff.

670 and very hazy this morning. We're under a Severe Health Warning for smoke from our neighbors to the NW Canada. Last night around midnight the near full moon was as orange as a glass of Florida's finest.  :o  You can smell it.  :P

After a day long battle with the fiber folks the install crew, got me wired up. 440/400 down/up speed is eye popping  :o. My iPad which has been nagging me for weeks that it needs backup done did it in 2 minutes. It would Be nice to have at home.

We went out for fried fish and fries at a food food trailer set up along US-2. We then ate it down by the beach. It was decent, not great, change from routine. White fish is great, mild fish fresh from Lake Michigan.

Plan today is to attend the Strawberry Fest in nearby Cooks.

Enjoy the day all.

Good morning, Jeff, Dave, Curt, Karl and later arrivals.  The lower Merrimack isn't as muggy as Dave is, inland: Thin overcast, light breeze, low 70s as I type.  I haven't closed my house's window yet, but I will get up to the attic next; the sun is supposed to appear mid-afternoon.
