Good morning Curt, Larry, Dave, Karl, Jerry, Rick, ACLTom and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Jerry, I like the idea of having scotch before any decisions are made.  ;D

Curt, hope you sleep better tonight and that the visit to the VA goes quickly.

Larry, it's nice when packages arrive earlier than expected.

Dave, looking forward to the scenery pictures.

Karl, hope the trial trestle component installation goes well.

Rick, good luck today, bet you'll be glad when it is over.

Tom, have fun in the train shed.

Current temperature is 2c (35f) and overcast, rain in the forecast later.  No modeling last night as the Mrs wasn't feeling well so it was a trip to the hospital, fun times, got back home at 5:30 this morning.  :o   I have a very good feeling that it will be a real early bedtime tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Curt, thanks for opening.  Good luck at the VA.  Hope you can sleep better tonight.

Larry, congrats on your supply arrival for the build.

Dave, good luck with the scenery and trees.

Karl, hope the trestle build continues well.  Mowing grass...ugh.

Jerry, thanks for the brunch.  Good luck at the bench.

Rick, congrats on the hospital news and well wishes for the destruction of those stones. Nice photo!

Tom, hope the trainshed work goes well.

Ron, well wishes for your wife.  Hope you can get some shut-eye.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright but hazy morning.  Pollen counts have been in the many thousands.  I had a haircut appointment this morning, and I plan on playing card games tonight.  This afternoon, you may find me upstairs.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning folks,

Looks like I'm first today.  Breakfast is bacon and shallot quiche (egg pie), with fresh watermelon on the side.  Orange juice, coffee, and all the soft drinks are available.

It's 60°F now, headed to 84°F this afternoon. Maybe a sprinkle or two.  This morning I'm off to the plant store.  Not sure why, I won't be able to plant anything for another month because of cataract surgery next week.  Alas, it makes Sharon happy so...

Maybe time upstairs this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Mike. Those of us that are married totally understand.

Another day starting in the 60's and headed into the 80's. I've been dealing with a low grade cold but cold medicine let me sleep better last night.

Yesterday did not go as well as planned. Dad got in a hurry again and gave himself a skin tear on his arm before we even left the house. At VA I did my bloodwork but his doc still hasn't put in the lab order. I'll be having words with him on the 13th during Dad's appointment. He did get his hearing aids fixed (I think) I can't tell any difference. More concerning was both his legs were swollen yesterday.

Today is floor day since yesterday was VA day, then I hope to make it to the workbench.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Mike thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Best of luck with your impending surgery. Yup happy wife = happy life.

Curt nice to hear you slept better. Sorry to hear about your Dad and hope life smooths out for him. Fingers crossed you get in some bench time.

What's on your list for the day.

It's a rainy 39 with a high of 49. Starting to see some localized flooding around but hopefully no detours because of it. Already cleaned the floors and in the process of mopping. After that rl breakfast then off to Wegmans for the rest of the items for Easter dinner. Maybe some bench time this afternoon.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Mike.

Curt, sorry for all you are going through with dad. As you know, Pam and I had similar issues with her mom.

No train shed time for me yesterday as I spent the day doing all the 1:1 stuff that needed attention.

I live about 53 miles due east of the Kennedy Launch Site. Due to the cloud cover between here and there along with the distance, this is the best picture of the launch I could get. Looking over the neighbor's roof.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

There was sleet on the ground when I took the dogs out, but now it's just light rain.  Our week of weather swings continues.

Probably more work on scenery today, I'll think about some trees.  But the tree construction will wait until tomorrow when I can go outside and spray adhesive.

add Cool photo, Tom, even if it's just a little bit of the launch!

30o with freezing rain in the area, warm front moving our way from the SW and will, allegedly, make our temps rise into the 60s late in the day, dragging us into a YELLOW tone on the Storm Threat imagery.  :o

We ended up on a most of the day road trip topped off with a fine meal at a place off the beaten path before heading home in time to watch the CBS coverage of the Artemis launch.  Not a Walter Cronkite amongst them.  Exciting times for the scientific and exploration side of humanity.

All the best Rick on your 'adventure' today.  The least adventurous as possible.

Mike we are weeks away from planting.  We'll have some warm days and a lot of folks will rush out and buy new stuff only to have mother nature bounce in and stomp on them.  Here we've had rabbits eat all the just breaking ground tulips, again.  Memorial Day is the time the gardening window opens in Michigan.

Maybe bench/layout today.

Enjoy ;)

Good morning everyone.

62 in Bullhead City, mix of sun and clouds later with a high of 81.

Mike, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I guess the plants will be safe in garage till you're ready to plant them.

Karl, hope the storm is a non-issue.

Dave, hope you make good progress on the scenery.

Larry, have fun shopping.

Curt, sorry about all the issues with dad.
Hope he's OK.

ACLTom, neat that you got a glimpse of the rocket.

Ron, hope your wife is home and feeling better.

How's everyone else?

Spent about 6 hours in the hospital.
Got a little annoyed while I was all prepped and ready to go and others that showed up after me were wheeled into the OR first.
I was the last person treated.
Was getting to not feel well after not having my coffee and not eating for almost 24 hours.
Doctor says procedure worked.
Haven't felt or seen any evidence of passing bits and pieces unless it was pulverized into dust.
X-ray tomorrow and hopefully Saturday I can get the stent removed.
Nothing much planned today.

Good news, I found the rest of the videos from the Nevada Northern RR.

This is from the hike in Sedona.

Waiting in doctor offices is just really annoying.  Wife was fit to be tied a couple days ago.  They said "You have to be here at 12:30 for your 1:00 appointment."  When she got there, a bunch of people were in the waiting room.  But no one could check in.  "We don't do check-in until 1:00, office policy."  "Then why tell us to get here a half hour early?"

Sorry about your Dad Curt. Swelling is never good.

Good morning Mike, Curt, Larry, ACLTom, Dave, Karl, Rick, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Mike,  Like Karl, we are at least a month away from planting season, the ground is still frozen here.

Curt, sorry to hear about your father's issues, hope it will get better soon.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench this afternoon.

Tom, at least you get to see the launch, hope you make it to the train shed today.

Dave, have fun with the scenery work.

Karl, Hope you make great progress at the layout today, if you make it there.

Rick, glad the procedure went well, so I'm guessing there will be a part 2 soon.

Philip, good luck at the DMV, hopefully the wait in line isn't too long.

Current temperature is 2c (35f) and partly cloudy but rain is predicted late this afternoon.  Wife is home and recovering well, well enough that her surgery is still scheduled for Tuesday.  No bench time last night as I never made it downstairs.  After dinner I played with Gracie a bit and then it was off to bed to catch up on much needed sleep.  The plan is to get to the bench tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

One of the strangest things about living in British Columbia was that you bought your driver insurance from the Province, but got your license plates from private insurance agents...

Good Morning Folks;

We live a good 100 miles plus from launch site and were able to watch it go up as well, really amazing what we can do when all pull together. Weather will be like Curt's and Tom's today. I have carved out some bench time in a bit having helped clean the house and even got my hair cut this morning. Someone took this picture of the launch yesterday from nearby bIMG_0238.jpegeach. It says it all.
