Good morning, all. The NH Seacoast is overcast with rain off and on all day forecast. I've visited both North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. My 2nd wife found Bright Angel very stressful a few years earlier (regular mountain hiking doesn't prepare you for all the UP hitting you in the second half), enough she had no interest in a rematch.

Yesterday I visited the O scale club layout in Gardner, MA. It really fills a church basement with multiple levels. Lots of different equipment operating. Many reminders of what the B&M once was in Gardner, and in Ashburnham where I visited a new-to-me hobby shop: Halfprice Hobby. Good stock, bought styrene, the good kind of scale rule (graduations start at one edge) and old parts & figures from the discount shelves.

The kid is taking his GF to church, then here for lunch before driving her back.  I have a lot of different chores, but some may get me up to the attic to use the new material.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate.  We're in the middle of 'weather thrashing' spring temperature swings.  Light rain, then some sun with fog, now cloudy and misty.  Looks to be cool this week, with some snow flurries possible on Tuesday and then maybe 66 on Friday.

Yesterday I painted some tree apertures.  Today I might back the car out of the garage and do some spray adhesive in the garage bay to 'populate' those apertures.  I'll try DACS' approach for pine trees over some Woodland Scenics pine apertures, yesterday I cut some green dyed sisal fibers to length.

But first, wife is making waffles for Easter.

Good Morning All,

HAPPY EASTER to those that celebrate.

Thanks for opening Rick. I really wish I could do that hike it sounds great. Can Star go with you?

I'm back from the extended family breakfast and just finished chores. I did a walk before breakfast. Next week some of the highs are supposed to be in the 70's. ;D

Yesterday I glued the 4 walls together. Think open 3 wall shed with a divider wall and I did the flooring on both sides. I'll do an update either Monday or Tuesday.

Tom watch out that Sally Forth doesn't get your chocolate rabbit ears!

I hope everyone has a good day.

No, I made that stupid mistake all by myself!

The Crucifixion scene from Sagrada Familia, Barcelona:

And its location on the Cathedral:

These photos are from 2003, when construction on Sagrada Familia was in full swing.  It's nearing completion, although construction was halted for a time during COVID.  Current estimate is early 2030s.  A lot of people don't like Gaudi or Sagrada Familia, and it has become somewhat of a tourist trap.  I find it equal parts inspiring and strange.   :D

Good afternoon folks,

We had a good day in the backyard flower gardens.  Then I fell in the evening and busted my eyebrow, 14 stitches.  I can barely see to type, so I'll keep it short.

Have a good one,
mike

Wow, Mike, that's an awful end to a Saturday.  I wish you as comfortable and quick a recovery as possible...

Mike, Very sorry to read about your injury.
Take it easy and hope it's a speedy recovery.

Getting a very early start to tomorrow's hike at the GC.
You can't drive to the trailhead.
You have to take a shuttle that leaves from the visitors center.
First bus leaves at 6AM and I want to be on it.
Star is going to have to sit this one out.

Have a great evening and I'll be back on Tuesday.

Philip

Happy Easter!

Sorry about the fall Mike!

Good news Rick.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, bakery cinnamon rolls, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Not sure the outside temp or what it's getting to today. Still have a early morning grayish sky before full sunrise. We did get some light rain last night.

Yesterday I did an update on the shed and did a mockup on the L shaped loading dock to see if it would fit like the template says to build it since it connects to the barn, office and store. It will fit well with light sanding in a couple of spots. ;)

Tomorrow will be a long day for MOH. She's taking our vacationing skunk for his big boy surgery and 2 others for a physical. The rescue's vet is about 75 minutes away and she'll be there all day.

Mike I hope you are doing well.

Rick enjoy your hike. I hope you're doing a video.

TomO I hope you and you're family are doing well.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast this am. Sounds like it'll be a modeling day for you.

What's on your agenda.

It's 33 with some light sleet with a high of 41. Have a Rx to pick up tis morning and a few groceries as well. Hope to get in some bench time in between everything else. Not much else going on here.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

And a wombat from Down Under:

It's sunny today, still feels a bit chilly.  Chance of snow mixed in with some rain tomorrow, then warming up and sunny for the rest of the week (that's what they say...)  After German, I'll probably putz with tree armatures.
