Morning all,

Ugh...stuffy thi s morning. I haven't figured out if it's allegies or a cold but I'm leaning towards the latter. Doubt I'll get much, if anything, done at the workbench today.

Guess I'll nap through survior (aka the Daytona 500). I only need to wake up for the last two laps.

Have a great one!

Sun  8)  is our weather today. Melting and sublimation are in full force. Still lots of snow in places 3-4" still in places. May get to 50.

The deer have been super active herding up in the fields by the dozens. I had a close call with on on the road yesterday, :o really close. We need a much long open season to thin them out. They damage millions of dollars in car wrecks. My last deer hit cost over $3,000 and it was minor in comparison to many.

Daytona starts earlier today the reported. 1:30 instead of 2:30. Apparently weather condition could influence that but broadcast. I'll have something out on the bench to mess with.

Enjoy all

Sunny and 32, I put one of the door mats outside to see if it will dry out in the sun.  We'll be 'maple sugaring weather' for the next 10 days, below freezing nights and above freezing days.  If this keeps up, it'll be a good sugar run this year.

I'm back from the store (ran out of eggs), so down to the train room.  Auto racing has never interested me, but good for those who do enjoy it.   I should have some update photos on the farmhouse later today.

Good evening, all. Though the lower Merrimack Valley reached the high 30s this afternoon, it was also my first time on snowshoes in 11 years; Feb. 2015 had much more snow than 2026 (I hope I can say that safely, but with today's forecast the odds are in my favor).

11-Feb-15 storm aftermath above. But pictures prove that late in the 2015 "a foot of snow every week" sequence I did go for a walk down to the woods.  15-Feb-15 post-storm hike below.
