Morning all,

Beware the Ides of March!

Woke up at 0600.  Thought I'd just lie there awhile and suddenly it's 0730.

Raining now, changing to snow through tomorrow.  Possible blizzard conditions.  Three to eighteen inches depending on the track.  Forty three degrees now, tomorrows high twenty.  Ick!

Built a couple of Proto 2000 kits.  Tough to get tiny parts fitted into tiny spots, there was some swearing with assembly.  The hopper car has brass grabs, the tanker plastic.  Fortunately you get extras, cuz I broke a lot of them.  They were so irritating to do, I got out a stock car and gondola to work on today.

Morning all,

I thought I slept through Sunday when I saw the heading. Yes, March 15, but, not Monday!

Nice looking freight cars Jeff.

I'm in the train shed and working on the Horwood build.

Have a great day ya'll.

:-\ Weather coaster  continues, 30, windy as can be, must be a different direction as it has the pines all stirred up out the W window.  :o Rain, Ice, snow all appear in the next 24 hours.  Stores closing in the UP for the big whopper, bomb cyclone, Polar Vortex up there, still predicting feet.

Division meeting was nice, saw a couple fellows I'd not seen since the chinese flu days.  Presentation was on making some trees, interesting, easy looking technique.  I think I sold a soldering iron or two with mine I took for "show and tell" our dcc guru was intrigued and wants one.  So he'll have one I'm sure.

Daughter and the geek squad coming today, so the Doll has Toll House cookies on the ondeck list.  ::)

All I got, staying close to home today.

Hang in there!

Dr Jeff is practicing for retirement, when "Monday" is just like a weekend day.  ;)

Cloudy and a bit chilly today.  Yesterday's Scotch Club was good.  We kept the fire low because of the winds.  There was the usual assortment of stuff, I brought out my bottle of Port Charlotte 10 to compare to another bottle of Port Charlotte Islay Barley.  (I like mine better, that stuff is currently on sale at NH liquor stores, so I should buy another bottle...)

Oops, it's Sunday.  Dave, you're right.  Only eleven more days.

Sunday, Monday they all kind of blur together.

My USF basketball team won yesterday and looked good doing so. They play for the AAC championship today so I will be watching. We are being told that we can expect thunderstorms this afternoon but at the moment it is nice outside, 71 and a little cloudy.

I keep slogging along on the resin printed bridge I have been designing. I was hoping to get it judged for merit for the NMRA structures AP but a friend that has judged in past thinks it might not pass due to error creep. Kind of a bummer with amount of time in it but at least I can simply move forward and finish it. It will look fine on layout, the issues only show up when your nose is an inch from the model.

Jeff those boxcars came out nice. Well hope everyone has a great day. I am off for a second cup of coffee.

Morning crew.

Cold and a bit of snow. Almost blew away yesterday with a some mighty strong winds.

Uploaded the next segment of the electric boxcab build in the HOn30 section. With that done I'm going to clean up the Bridgeport mill from the last job so I can make a fixture to be used on the Nomad 3 for making up a bunch of "waste boards". The boards allow you to cut through a part and not damage the table underneath.

The this afternoon the wife and I are going to help a friend pick up a train collection. An older modeler is selling all his items for a grand total of $3,000. My friend, Dan, who sells previously enjoyed train items told me he's got around 100 steam engines and many other assorted train items. This will be fun. Perhaps there is something in the collection I just can't live without.  ;)  ;D

Afternoon all,

Nice rolling stock Dr. Jeff!

Sunday, Monday, makes no difference to me. I'll be messed up, as to the day of week, all week as my better half is off for Spring Break so the routine will be different.

Still painting details and figures. Progress is slow.  ::)

Have a great one!

OK, here's the boxcar kit, finished and primed.

I think the brake staff and platform are in the wrong location.

But I can live with this...  I also didn't do the NBWs for the grabirons or the cut levers.

Looks like it's in the right place. Platform looks a little long though.

Bernd, I sent a friend a link to the first page of your MRH thread where you show moving the Bridgeport into your basement.  He replied, "I did that.  I used a wrecker and planks to lower the Bridgeport down the stairs."   ;D

I've got lots of pictures of when I got the Bridgeport, brought it home, unloaded it from the trailer and moved it into the basement. Maybe I should start a thread with how I did that. Irv contacted me on MRH. I wrote back to him. Thanks.

When building my freight car fleet last century, I did a lot of P2K and other detailed plastic kits. I'd twirl the tip of a new XActo blade in any balky part holes. Pretty sure the holes were right when molded, but lost some diameter during the factory painting.
