Howdy,

Getting started a tad later today. I meet with some guys for a morning workout and we stayed afterwards to discuss the recent arrest of the local mayor. Turns out the mayor stole his opponents political signs. What a buffoon.

If you are headed to the National Narrow Gauge Convention in the Twin Cities make lots of photos of the contest room. Pictured below is an entry from the last convention held at the Twin Cities back in 2018.

Morning  all. I'm glad to see the arresting of Mayors happens in other states, not just Massachusetts. We had one recently in the next big city over allegedly for stealing over a million of covid money. Not the first mayor there to be arrested. A week later a representative  was arrested too. Test run a couple locomotives yesterday just to make sure they were still good at a friends house. He also fixed a broken prime bulb on my weed Wacker while I was there. Off to work for a couple of hours...

Another hot one in Michigan today. Approaching 100^o by noon.

One Rx I have coming is still "being worked on" so no idea when I'll trek in to town.

I finished dismantling the old filament 3d machine. Thought of selling parts on eBay but decided the value wasn't enough to bother. Nice to have the room to use.

Not sure of plan for today. Mostly inside.

Still need to do my morning routine.

Good evening, all. It was in the 60s F and mostly cloudy as I spent the day at Seashore, but no rail till the early hours of Thursday.  I did 6 or 8 different kinds of track work today, but at the end of it all, the Double Slip worked well with our most heavily used streetcar, on all routes, in both directions, with both ends of the car leading.  It's #4 using both trolley rail section single point switches and diamond castings and separate-part frogs and restraining rails. Work remains, of course, and we feel we need to test each new car they want to operate over it, but it's a milestone.

Taking tomorrow off as a rain day, then back up there Friday and Saturday.  Next week I've been invited to help track work at another museum. We'll see how that feels once this week is finally over.
