Good morning. We weren't supposed to have Internet at the rental but we have WiFi unlocked so I'm using it. We are in Sister Bay, Wisconsin on the Door County peninsula. We come here after tourism season is done. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day though it's still a touch busy. But many of the tourist shops are closed for the season. The restaurants here have greatly reduced hours and staff but are still using the tourist gouging prices.

Today if the Bay of Green Bay is calm we will take a lunch cruise of almost 3 hours or just the 1 hour cruise. Depends on mood.  Yesterday the Bay was smooth as glass but the Lake Michigan was slightly choppy. No other plans today but relax.

The daughter called last night wondering where we were staying. We are not at her place because they just closed on it last week. It was on the market 3 weeks. She wants us to look at a place a few miles up the road at Gill's Rock. They love it up here but the place needed a re-do and they weren't interested in losing a year to construction, so they sold it.

Below, one of the possible cruise boats and the other picture is the ferries. One heading out to Washington Island from Northport with the other returning

To answer your question Mike; it's going to be salt water.

Sun and 70 s today in da Yoop. The deck is damp but no water in the gage.

Excursion yesterday took us to Germfask,  MI where we found Benny the Beard Fisher Troll  at a tourist trap it's an interesting character like those TomO mentioned a week or so back.

"But if we understand the meaning of one man's trash is another man's treasure then we understand that trash is a treasure. I believe trash is wealth, trash is an opportunity the world is not drowning in the trash, we just don't have the objective set right, the world is filled with opportunity."

Othe pics I took seem to be too big to post :-X  Numoerous website mentions search Benny the Beard Fisher Troll

Germfask? How'd it get the weird name...they took the first letter of the last name of everyone in town and made a word out of it.

Rick I understand Star's joy at the van. My K-9 partner Wrangler would transform like Clark Kent when the phone rang for a call out. He'd all but knock me over to get going.  Once in HIS patrol car he was totally on duty. NO ONE got close to the car, even my family, without intense reaction from him.

Yes, LIONS football tonight. 1:1 here today.

Great picture thanks for sharing. We've been wondering about seeing this Troll. This picture is telling us yes. You are not too far from Karl's Northern Command by UP driving standards! I just showed Bernie the troll to Terry and she loves it too!

Germfast, Mi will be a Spring 2027 trip. We have now seen 16 of Thomas Dambo's trolls. Another 7 between Dayton Ohio and outside of Louisville are hopefully the 1st week in October. There are another 4 at Tupper Lake, NY. We might be in Canton, NY to see on 9/25 and 26. We are debating going to see the UW Badger Women's hockey against St Laurence University to open the season.  Not getting good vibes as it's a 14 hour trip from home

Hmmm. I didn't recall trolls at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake when I visited a decade ago. My in-laws that live nearby maintained their bog exhibit for many years, and the aunt-by-marriage who's visiting us now has made a number of model flowers for their exhibits.  Stories on the net suggest the invasion of trolls is a 2016 event.  Seems they'll move on, except for one built-for-purpose which will stay.
