Morning all,

Storms last night.  Headed to 78 today and cloudy.  A couple of rains and the lawn has greened up and needs mowing, but will wait until later when it dries out.  It's supposed to rain the next two days as well so I'd better get to it today.

Hope to get some layout work done today, and get some more of the convention pics posted.

Howdy.

I have a thing for signal towers. They are small but pack a big punch and are so railroady. I was surprised how well this one from AHM Minikits turned out.

We are still having crazy hot weather. I am ready for fall to show up.

Nice looking signal tower tower, Jamie. That reminds me, somewhere I have the Atlas Interlocking Tower kit and the Vectorcut upgrade kit for it. George did a masterful job with the basic version of that one that's on the FSM.

Gotta go do my exercising/ stretching before I do anything else today. Maybe some workbench time this afternoon.

Clear sky and dazzling sunlight reflecting off the lake this morning. Temp in 50s going to neighborhood of 70 today.

Plans include some chill time here today.

Lions play the Thursday night game.

I have Foscale Caldwell Junction tower built since the kit came out. Plan is to place it near the main yard on my empire. Someday. The other buildings in that are scattered about in different places.

My wife got me the RDA Buzzards Bay tower kit years ago (prototype was poured concrete).  It's a bit modern for my layout, but it still controls the main junction.  

Lightburn released a new version, one that is 'M-series native' for Modern Macs.  We've been having a (friendly) discussion on XML parsing and character sets.  XML always made my brain hurt...  But we agree on what's happening, and that's what is really important in a bug report.  How they resolve that is up to them.  (I really can't say what The Right Answer is, because that would require in-depth knowledge of XML standards which I don't have.)
