MRH has a great review of a 'wood miter' tool, comparing it to the NWSL Chopper and the Ulitmation Slicer:  https://online.fliphtml5.com/buups/yzsc/index.html#p=153  In particular, this article actually measures the result from using each of those tools, along with explanations why tool geometry yields such different results.  So even if you're not interested in a relatively expensive tool to cut sticks, the article is worth reading to understand how those tools work.

I was reluctant to buy the NWSL chopper. Chopper is old school and not a perfect tool but is awesome for gang cutting boards.

Thanks for sharing the NEW digs Dave! ;D

This is my modified chopper.
I've used it for decades.
Picture should explain but ask if you need info.

Okay. Y'all are amazing.  :o

I just have two of the NWSL choppers. The old, non-metal one a the later metal one.

Nice Berne!
I use my table saw for the bigger stuff!

Dave, that looks like an interesting cutter, but I can't find a link to the company that makes and sells it.

labdad

Very cool!
I may get a small table saw someday.

Not sure why another thread was started when there already was a thread on this topic.
Would have been nice to have everything in one place.
Regardless, this thread was started about a product that's not available.
Or, maybe someone does have a link.

Nice to see tools made by others but it doesn't help anyone looking to buy a tool.

There have been muliple "wood miter" products over time.  They all use a similar mechanism, that operates differently from the Chopper and Slicer.  Since the referenced article discusses the results from a set of products, I think it's still relevant, even if there isn't a current source for a 'wood miter'.

add Just to clarify:  Chopper/Slicer has a purely vertical motion.  Wood Mitre includes a lateral motion as part of the cut.

I've become confused on this thread...

Rick...if you're referring to the wood cutting miter tool at the end of the article a phone number (318-470-5915) and emailaddress(precisionmeasurementsformodelers@gmail.com)

Are both listed.Appears it sells for 150.00
