I absentmindedly forgot I needed a ring rail for the turn table...
So I made a rail bender out of scraps.
Luckily I had aluminum rail (code 250).
At least I'm making progress.

Great work! 👍
Too small for me.
What machines do you use? Sherline?
Maybe you've seen my 3/4" to the foot scratch built Shay.

I've always used wood glue.
Some of my models are 20 years old.

The knee is good.
Thanks for asking.
I'm amazed how sensitive it is to weather.
Boggles my logical mind.
Better than the original one.
I've been bucking and splitting firewood the last two weeks

This has been a long journey.
2 years to build and finally after 10 years the dream has come true.
Enjoy, sound on.

I shaved the edges with a 4 inch grinder. Still waiting on music wire from Jeff Bezos and NBW's from Ozark.

I didn't see a tips/jigs section so I put this in here. I Had to drill for tie rods in the TT.
So this was how I did it.
If the pics don't make sense ask.

Phillip, not sure what that means but thanks!

I finished spiking the mainline and the siding (ballast yet to be done)
I decided I needed a turn table so here are a few in progress shots. Walnut of course. Cheap old siding. 😁
I got a 6" bearing for it - works great!
It's kinda short - 20" or 25 scale feet but real estate is tight.
