Looking good but...
Don't read on if you're happy with it.
Some subtle variation would help.
FWIW I suck at stone walls but there are a lot of them here in East Tennessee.

I started laying track. I started with a stub switch 'cause they're easy.
I figured I needed a switch stand.
So here it is.
And yes, it's functional. 😎

Just to confuse y'all
The live and dead pulleys are what make the machine operate or not.
Cone pulleys change the speed (with inverse sizes)

Let me know if I need to illustrate

Just watched the video Rick!
Denise and I LOVED IT!
You are living the dream.
Hopefully after I get my knees fixed we will be back to hiking.
Lots of good hikes here in East Tennessee.

I wasn't aware of what was going on..
I'm glad I saw this.
So many "guys" exist in solitude.
This is a great thread!
I hope I can contribute now that I'm enlightened.

Good stuff Larry!
Have you ever tried the AK interactive dark steel powder?
Makes almost anything look like polished steel (even your fingers!)

I highly recommend it

Thank you all!

It's a Dolbeer based on the CHB/sierra West O scale kits.
In 1:16 of course.
It has a motor inside the boiler that runs the engine/crank and operates the capstan.
I hope to power it on the layout...eventually.
