Terrific tutorial on the dirt roads, I've never been one to purchase dirt but had found that baseball diamond dirt works well when you sift it, I was doing some scenery one winter and found that our lumber store actually carried it. I would use earth colored latex paint as the base and put down the dirt and let it dry and vacuum.

Kyle your work is looking good, I like the idea of the TT to only change the direction of the engine , it'll make your train running more challenging which is a good thing.

Thanks folks for taking the time to bringing me upto speed, it's really a shame to loose so many memories with great builds and modellers and I don't know about you but my memory isn't the best but I always knew where I subscribed to and saved certain builds, oh well life goes on.

I've been in a number of groups over the years, 2006 seems to ring a bell and many group sites have up and disappeared, what happened to RRL?

You're doing a real nice job on this kit, I built the same a couple years back.

Steve very sorry to read you are dismantling the layout , I know it's been 4 months since you announced it and I'm hoping you didn't . I've gone through the same phase in years past and regretted the disassembling and eventually realized that it's a hobby and not sometimes full time hobby. Unless you really need the real estate that it opens up I wouldn't disassemble. I'm sometimes months doing anything on my layout but I'm happy I've rebuilt.

Steve it took me slow reading and viewing from my last comment in 2019 and although I wanted to skip ahead I resisted and made it to page 29, just super work and totally enjoy following along.

Looks great Tom. Couple thoughts or things I discovered/ tried this year. After giving up searching for my Bragdons HO scale nail wheel and not liking the struggle I was having with the Excel pounce wheel I bit the bullet and reordered the Brandon wheel, highly recommended as it's easier to line up with a steel ruler compared to the Excel bottom of handle riding up on the ruler and a much nicer nail hole. The second thing I've been trying is make nail holes with walls laying flat and then windows signs etc then assemble walls and as a final step I then give the walls a final A/I wash.

I must say I'm very happy the site is back up, but even more happy I can start following your great builds again. Excellent work.
