You're doing a real nice job on this kit, I built the same a couple years back.

Steve very sorry to read you are dismantling the layout , I know it's been 4 months since you announced it and I'm hoping you didn't . I've gone through the same phase in years past and regretted the disassembling and eventually realized that it's a hobby and not sometimes full time hobby. Unless you really need the real estate that it opens up I wouldn't disassemble. I'm sometimes months doing anything on my layout but I'm happy I've rebuilt.

Steve it took me slow reading and viewing from my last comment in 2019 and although I wanted to skip ahead I resisted and made it to page 29, just super work and totally enjoy following along.

Looks great Tom. Couple thoughts or things I discovered/ tried this year. After giving up searching for my Bragdons HO scale nail wheel and not liking the struggle I was having with the Excel pounce wheel I bit the bullet and reordered the Brandon wheel, highly recommended as it's easier to line up with a steel ruler compared to the Excel bottom of handle riding up on the ruler and a much nicer nail hole. The second thing I've been trying is make nail holes with walls laying flat and then windows signs etc then assemble walls and as a final step I then give the walls a final A/I wash.

I must say I'm very happy the site is back up, but even more happy I can start following your great builds again. Excellent work.

This kit is very intimidating given you have been as far as you have gotten, normally you would have been showing the finished results. :)

Love where you're going with your layout.

Vince you're doing an amazing job, the shingle job you did looks fantastic. I think the most difficult task in building our railroads is getting just the right elevations for structures, track and scenery to come together.
Have you given any thought to painting a backdrop?

Looks like a good setup.

I'm caught up , I think your lineup of the structures looks good, I'm not sure if your colour sample sticks were used for the setup but I can see how they would help. Your trees and backdrop are spot on.
By the way I like the idea of the grey bins for the castings.

Nice to see these SW kits being built, I did the WoodCutters shack a while back, it was a real treat.

Looking good Curt, I have the same setup with the ws static grass applicator, I tried it once and also quickly learned that the green painters tape is your friend.
