I saw your request for software to make a track plan.  You got me on the free part.  I use a software called TurboCAD on my MACBOOK. I use it for my work so the cost was justified.  I sure would like to see you start a thread on your layout and I think a photograph of a hand drawn sketch of your layout plan would work perfectly. Use your time to build more wonderful structures rather than learning a new software.

Steve, structure turned out great. I use AnyRail, it is free for smaller layouts without a lot of elements. If you want more it is a cheap buy and will do what you need.
