Morning, all.

Very snowy here.  We're opening late and closing early at work, as it's supposed to keep snowing and the winds will start later this afternoon.  Still undecided if I'm going in (probably will), but will late until it's light to see how the road conditions are on the DOT website.

Morning all,

I'll have to venture out in the rain/weather for my annual physical this morning.  Other than that, it's just another day at work.

In answer to Terry's question from yesterday about what I do/did - After college (Accounting) I worked for two banks for a 21-year period.  Auditing, Finance, Deposit Operations type stuff (both banks were in Pennsylvania).  Then, in December of 1999, I moved to Florida to work for a Banking Software company as a Business Analysis (mostly Deposits/General Ledger).  I've been doing that for over 24 years.  It's the same software I used in the last bank I worked at, so I actually have 33 years of experience with it.  Boring stuff, I know.  I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up.  ;D

Have a great one!

Good Morning All,

Started out with a walk that I cut short because of the rain.

Have some chores then who knows?

Drive safe Jeff.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Howdy all.

Continuing to set up my new shop, now that we've got some clear (albeit cold) weather here in the UK.

First-world problem of the day: return a vacuum a manufacturer sent as a replacement, in place of the model I had no longer being available. The issue? The replacement is worth HALF the value of the unit I purchased. That's some cheek right there.

Hope you are all well!

Morning,

The snow is about to cover us with enough to shovel. Maybe DR will give me a note to the gods.

Good morning All. This is the second day of "Frost on the pumpkin" here in Arizona. Night time lows have been just below 32 degrees downtown and a bit lower where we live. During this period we have to put frost blankets on the more sensitive plants to prevent them from dying from the frost. We put foam cups on the tops of several cactus to prevent frost damage. Yes, these cactus have spikes. Some of the trees are also prone to frost, especially if they are new citrus trees.

I know, we are pussies out here in Arizona. Well I lived back where it snowed and was cold and i'll keep what i have here in Arizona. Yes, i know it also gets hot in the summer. Oh well, poop happens!

The good news is that i can work on th layout more because it is so cold outside.

As many of you know or have seen my layout, i have a rather large city area at one end of the layout. Many of the buildings are quite tall, with several ranging from 6 to 12 stories. I am adding fire escapes to many of them. A bit tedious, but will look good in the final view. I'll post some pics soon.

Have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon.  Bob as you approach retirement my advice is to not grow up. In retired life we either become grumpy old men or enjoy our second childhood. I decided to play with trains and spend time with my Grandkids.

As for winter so far this year here, very mild.  We got about a half inch of snow last night which is now slush because it is raining.  Rain in January is pretty rare in Michigan, in my experience. This year it has rained almost every day in January, so far.  I live in Michigan where my Native American friend says that his people have been dealing with climate change for 14,000 years. I'm not going to sell my plow.

Frank please take good care of those plants, they are beautiful.

I hope everyone has a great day.

This is the most recent video that Toy Man Television uploaded. Dale was our guest speaker at our regional convention last year. The convention was held in Flagstaff, Arizona. Dale was not able to come down to Phoenix, but asked that i put together some more recent video of my layout. As you will see in the attachment, Dale starts and ends the video with some snipets from the former video he did of my layout.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo3YpdPgWNs&t=233s&ab_channel=ToyManTelevision
