I'm not sure if anyone is interested but I am doing a scratch build freight depot and almost all depots have some sort of platform. The platform I just finished is 22" x 5" and has a concrete base with a wooden deck on top of that. Thank you to Greg for the answers to my initial questions he provided.

The wooden decking are NESL 2x8 strips cut to 10' lengths then stained with Hunterline Medium Brown. Every 4 or 5 rows I put a square on it to make sure it wasn't starting to veer off square. I used 11 or 12 packages of the 2x8's and the actual construction took about 12 hours.

This is what was originally on the layout and the changes.

Curt,

Add me to the list of interested persons. The freight platform came out great and I also like how you did the crossing. Well, done my friend.
